<p>I don't think he's used it on Obito. Crucially, I don't think Obito would want him to. He's trying to do what he thinks is the best way to repent: die. Same reason he tried the Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique waaaaaaay back when; he feels (rightly, to an extent) that he cannot do enough good to undo the bad he did as Tobi/Madara, and sees giving his life to help Naruto as the only way he can be redeemed.

<p>That does make sense. The character development that Obito's gotten since Madara became a jinchuriki has been amazing. At first, I was against him actually being Tobi because I thought it was too expected and it wouldn't make sense. But we can't pretend that doing good in his final hours will erase the 15+ years of crimes he's committed; Obito's end is gonna be bittersweet. Imagine what the manga could have been if Obito was the main character!
