<p>That's right, but it doesn't matter, does it? If chakra can have a consciousness, it should join the original one in the afterlife after the chakra "died". I mean, where else would it go? </p>

<p>One could argue the void of nothingness. </p><p>But that is unnecessarily cruel, especially after the way Naruto and his mother parted ways. So I like to believe Kushina did move on to the after life, to reunite with the half of Minato that didn't get stuck in the shinigami. </p>

<p>@Seel, considering Kaguya wants back all chakra, I suppose chakras of those who have died still has to be around for that to work. If it is anything like energy, then it can't be destroyed, it only takes on another form. @Ulti, Kushina was in the afterlife all along since shortly after Kurama's claw struck her. Naruto didn't meet her soul, only her chakra. There was no part of Minato in the afterlife as well, ever. </p>

<p>Soul. Chakra. We could debate endlessly such a lofty subject. </p><p>I choose to believe that they are neither different nor the same and the Kushina got to meet her son and meet up with her husband in the after life. And really that is enough. </p>

<p>They are different. If what you say were true about chakra Minato and chakra Kushina having gone to the pure land, then it would have been possible to revive Minato twice, one from his half in Shinigami that's currently running around and Minato 2 from the half in pure land that was in Naruto. That is obviously false. So all in all, Kushina never met grown-up Naruto, nor did Minato and Kushina ever reunite after their deaths in any form. </p>

<p>Not really, why would it? I'm not that malevolent, I'm just stating the facts. The 3 of them will "reunite" once Naruto dies and Minato's Edo Tensei is undone, unless Kushina gets revived, which I find unlikely. And even though their souls will one day be together in the pure land, there's no consciousness, so they won't ever know about that. So yeah, nothingness is a cruel reality. </p>

<p>When Minato met Naruto during the war he told him that Sasuke is coming and this time Sasuke is on their side, this clearly imply that Minato knew that Sasuke was an enemy to Naruto before. Minato's Chakra entity stated that it knew of what happened to Naruto like Jiraiya's death and more. </p>

<p>Minato also recalled his part in helping Naruto suppress Kurama against Pain too, so there's that. Not to mention Kakashi and Sakumo both died, and they were able to talk to one another. You may not believe in a literal afterlife (which is a topic I shall not debate on this site), but this is a fictional universe. Your views of the real world don't apply here. At all. </p>

<p>That said... would it be all too far-fetched to create an article about the afterlife? I mean, we'd have some stuff to talk about, wouldn't we? </p>
