<p>I don't really understand why a lot of Naruto fans hate/criticize Kishimoto for the way he made Naruto.
</p><p>YES, the manga has flaws and YES, the ending wasn't exactly a 10/10 and there were MUCH better endings to other manga/anime, and other pieces of entertainment. I get that. But to start petitions to BAN the manga from being published in North America and force users on forums and Twitter to be blocked/banned JUST because they didn't get their OTP made canon is so ridiculous it's not even funny! This just proves that some people are just immature, whiny losers who can't stand to see things go their own way! I mean, some of my favorite pairings - like Chouji/Ino - didn't happen but you don't see ME complaining and ranting like they are! And also, keep in mind that Kishimoto is only HUMAN! Meaning that he makes mistakes, messes up and isn't perfect just like ALL of us! And I'd like to see YOU do a manga the same way for the same amount of years, publishing a new chapter EVERY WEEK, and see how "easy" YOU find it! In fact, I admire Kishi for pulling that off! I also admire him for having the balls to END the manga! Most people in his position would've made some cop out happen just to continue it's success or because they don't know how to end it/don't want it to end!
</p><p>And I'd say that for his very first BIG manga publication, Naruto was a success BEYOND successes! FIFTEEN years, MILLIONS of fans, one of the longest anime's ever and countless, COUNTLESS good reviews and stats from critics and fans alike?! I'd say that Naruto was commercially and critically successful for something that was made when Kishimoto was still new to the manga world!

<p>People just have the need to bore others with their opinions. The fact that you went ahead and wrote this essay proves that they have success in receiving attention, which is all they want.

<p>Put as simply as possible, people are selfish. They feel entitled, think they know what's best, etc. They're also generally ignorant of the creative process.
</p><p>It's easier to criticize than it is to create. Personally, I've always been pro-creator.

<p>i dont hate him, i hate what he did to a story which had so much latent potantial, imagine if he had made the pacing way slower and actually gave a f*ck for consistency and plot....
</p><p>i never disliked that naruto/sasuke/others became god-like but the way how they reached the lvl is idiotic... but that is only my opinion ^_^

<p>Exactly. Kishi had a few goals that ultimately took some sacrifice, whether it was to end at 700 or a deadline of some sort. That sacrifice being, I don't know, understanding of the Six Path abilities Sasuke and Naruto got. Like the teleportation or the life hand. The flying. I mean, was it really so simple that it wasn't necessary?

Yes. I don't hate him, but Naruto definitely had it's flaws. He could've done some things WAY better, but still, for a first manga, it's an amazing story!
