<p>The only important thing about Gaiden is it showed Sarada as a heroine (too bad she isn't as main as one would think in the movie) and it introduced the existence of Momoshiki (hardly). </p>

Her obsession with Sasuke would have allowed her to create life using Orochimaru's method of clones with the exception of her using Sasuke DNA(that she obtained somehow that a previous manga chapter stated that she did something to Sasuke) and her own. </p><p>4)And do you know when Karin started wearing her glasses? The earliest we see Karin is at age 12 during the Part one Chunin exams. So another point is moot. </p><p>7)Where did he state that? If that flashback would have help proved that Sakura was Sarada's biological mother then why take it out. Heck he only needed to add one panel(a panel showing Karin with a pregnant Sakura). The fact that he didn't add that scene there is proof that he didn't want to give up the Nature vs Nurture theme. </p><p>8)You make this so easy. Karin also has similar face shape to Sakura as well. So this point is moot due to Karin and Sakura sharing similar face shape. </p><p>9)The thing is that Sasuke's mission has no affect on whether Sarada knew she was born outside the village or not. Sasuke explores DIMENSIONS(Kaguya's dimensions at that), so no one would be able to find him out. That is why Sakura keeping a secret that she was born outside the village didn't make a bit of sense. </p><p>10)The lesson isn't about Sarada learning about Sasuke love. It was about accepting Sakura as her mother no matter who her biological DNA test states. That is the reason we see Naruto there to help her with that. He understands the family bond between two people not related by blood. </p><p>So in conclusion all your point are moot because at the end of the day, Karin kept something that should be given to the BIOLOGICAL mother of the child and her knowing about Sarada's eye condition so well to the point that she sends Suigetsu with a pair of glasses for her to wear due to her age. The only definitive reason why Karin knows such things without even seeing Sarada's eye condition herself is that she is using HERSELF as an example of what eye wear Sarada should be using and at what age. Clones are near perfect copies of the original. With Sarada is that she is a clone of both Sasuke and Karin. That is why she needs glasses because Karin needed glasses. </p><p>And don't tell me this isn't the case because look at ALL the Konoha children born with known parents: </p><p>Boruto = Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes, 2 whiskers and his mothers eye and face shape Himawari = Dark blue Hair, Blue Eyes(when not using Byakugan), 2 whiskers and her fathers eye and face shape Shikadai = Hair color and in the same style as his father, eye color, eye and face shape of Temari Inojin = Ino's eye, hair colors and Sai's skin tone Chocho = Choji's hair color and body type with Karui's eye and skin color </p><p>
All these kids have the perfect balance between their parents but Sarada doesn't. The only thing we know of Sarada's physical look is: Black Eyes Black Hair Looks like a female Sasuke Has Eye Glasses </p><p>Nothing from Sakura. Do you truly believe that Kishimoto doesn't know how to create kids based off their parents. This is why it is impossible for Sarada to be Sakura's biological daughter because she doesn't have ANY physical traits shared with her. The only similarities are those shown in children being raised by adopted parents from very young(baby). </p><p>Monster Strength is not a bloodline Shannaro isn't a bloodline trait because Boruto would have been saying dattebayo like his father too. Yet Kushin says dattebane, Naruto dattebayo and Boruto dattebasa. Clothes don't count since that is outside DNA </p><p>
So unless Kishimoto releases a chapter that shows(visually) that Sakura was pregnant during her time in the hideout with Karin then Sarada's real mother is still up in the air. </p>

<p>Chapter 10 and all other things are hearsay. They are using knowledge that people know based on that one chapter. Until visual evidence is presented Sarada's biological mother is up in the air unless given canon reasons why she has glasses or why Karin knows EXACTLY what type of glasses she would need without the need of doing a checkup that all eye doctors do. Try and ask ANY eye Doctor to do exactly the same thing Karin does with Sarada in her "eye wear prescriptions" and I will guarantee you that they will look at you funny. </p>

<p>This is not a debate on who Sarada's mother is - it has been officially confirmed that Sakura is the mother, case closed - this is a subject on the importance of Gaiden. </p>

<p>I don't think it is prequel on "Boruto" because this story is a mere a side story which only focuses on Sarada and her family;for me the chapter 700 is the real prequel of "Boruto" as it focus on all future generations of Konoha,which the "Boruto" focuses also. </p>

<p>I completely agree with Ashzure, it isn't so much of a prequel aside from the fact that the New Generation were shown and that Sasuke true mission was to ascertain Momoshiki's existence. Afterall, the movie is almost completely about Boruto, Sarada simply has her own spin off series. </p><p>Also Goldliger, move your speculation or denial to another thread or drop it. </p>

<p>Sarada and Chocho are irrelevant in the movie. And according to Kishi Gaiden was made out of fan-demand for SasuSaku so he originally didn't have plans for it. </p>
