<p>Between the two brothers I felt Indra had a realistic view of the world, even when Asura was chosen to be the sage of six paths successor he didn't do anything to correct the world all he did was spend time battling his brother also he never had his clan the Senju clan to work on this either Asura's descendants didn't continue his ideology they became a battle clan who took on missions for others just like Indra's so to be honest I see Asura failed because he never went through with his ideologies or enforce hence forth why we never seen any Senju's try to even aim for peace besides Hashirama albeit him being an Incarnation and his brother Tobirama who honestly was barely a peace seeker himself and wanted to kill off the Uchiha and anyone who didn't agree with him. Hell Tobirama followed Indra philosophy based on how he acted in the show. Asura failed being the successor and I believe the sage should've evenly broken up the powers between brothers cause Asura just couldn't get the job done.

<p>How do we know Ashura didn't try? He might've tried to improve the world's peace but he was stopped by his brother or maybe something else happened,we don't know what happened for sure.

<p>I never said he didn't try, I merely stated he never succeeded. Hence forth since he didn't succeed he failed in his task making him a failure as a successor to the sage which is why I believed the power should've been evenly split up between the brothers cause together they would've been in balance not to much force but not too much gentleness a firm yet open hand. </p>
