Well, Kisame is also able to move underground, so it's pretty dangerous for Deidara to go there, it's a perfect place for Kisame to go on with the close range moves, which aren't Deidara's speciality, if he wants to win this battle, he must keep distance.

Kisame can be sensed, his and Samehada's Chakra Signature are only identical due to there long partnership. Even with the Water Prison Shark Dance Technique, he has to capture Deidara in it, before becoming effectiv. Deidara is a pure long-range fighter with the ability to fly with his clay, which makes it difficult for Kisame to reach him and capture him in said jutsu. I am still with Deidara wins

Indeed. Yeah, Deidara is a bit dump, but not dump enough to make some stupid moves in the serious battles like this. As I already said, if he keeps the distance, the odds are on his side. But for me the main question is if Samehada can absorb clay explosions or not. If it cannot, Kisame'd be blown apart relatively quick. If it can, that still would be pretty exciting battle, although with Deidara having most of the benefits. He keeps distance => attacks with his clay bombs or neutralises Kisame's Shark Bomb techniques with them => anyway gets the perfect chances for the victory. The only problem I see for him is his clay supply (he'd just run out of amunition if the reserves are not enough).
