Some of you might still remember the Kaguya background filler episodes. On one hand, I enjoyed them and on the other, the number of not only canon contradictions, but also contradiction of itself was just too much. It saddens me, because as I said, I enjoyed some things and it also had great potential that went wasted.

So before the filler begins, just like in the manga, Black Zetsu says that Hagoromo and Hamura sealed their own mother Kaguya and that Naruto and Sasuke have been given their powers to seal Kaguya again, Naruto questions why would Sage of Six Paths seal his own mother and says that they have been given their powers to seal the Ten-Tails, not Kaguya. Black Zetsu responds that it's because Kaguya is the Ten-Tails.

Then the filler begins, already a few canon contradictions, but still fine... Sharingan Hagoromo? That's fine, why not... doesn't actually contradict the canon... then after Hagoromo breaks Hamura free from Kaguya's mind control, Kaguya gets mad and transforms the Shinju into the Ten-Tails.
Then Hagoromo and Hamura manage to seal Kaguya after months of fighting and she is shown being sealed in her humanoid form, while the-into-Ten-Tails-transformed-Shinju withers away and Hagoromo splits its power into 9 souls/chakras and puts them into himself for the time being.

So where did the Demonic Statue come from in this scenario? Did Kaguya over the course of 1000 years inside the Moon just mutate into it over time?
Also in this scenario that Ten-Tails and Kaguya are separate and Shinju > Ten-Tails while Kaguya > Demonic Statue... then why did the Demonic Statue (Kaguya) have White Zetsu inside of her, if she is to be separate from the Ten-Tails? The people were connected to the Shinju... Did she swallow some of those trapped people before she got sealed?
Not to mention, if Kaguya and Ten-Tails are separate and Kaguya just for whatever reason mutated into Demonic Statue... then why did the Demonic Statue needed chakras of the Tailed Beasts and why did the Demonic Statue (Kaguya) then became the Ten-Tails?

So it's obviously nonsense, Studio Pierrot not only forgot or ignored what Black Zetsu said that Kaguya is the Ten-Tails, few episodes earlier, but also that it's logically not possible for them to be separate.

Anyone else still salty about this?
