<p>Hiruzen Sarutobi was hailed as a God of Shinobi, a Genius, and a researcher. This threads purpose is to compile Manga and Databook info on Hiruzen and show his strength in more detail from statements and feats too. Translations from the translators would be appreciated too.

<p>Tsunade destroyed a miniature Susanoo with the aid of the Raikage. I have no doubt she could have done it alone, but I'm quite sure, so could A. She has never even made a "dent" in a giant version. She could break their swords though and could knock the humanoid Susanoo down (though I believe that part was anime only).
</p><p>As for on topic, we have yet to see Hiruzen fighting in his prime and thus we have no proof to really discredit Hiruzen being the strongest Hokage. For all we know, he might have some super fuinjutsu that could swallow Hashirama's 1000 wood hands jutsu. We don't know. But, what we do know is clearly, the databooks weren't talking about old Hiruzen being the strongest Hokage or kage for that matter.

<p>Tsunade was able to cause an instant crack in Madara's miniature Susanoo, great enough that he regarded her as stronger than A. A, however, needed Onoki's help to break/crack through his Susanoo, both large and small. I don't think he could've done it alone. </p>

</p><p>He has mastered the secret techniques, and genjutsu. So I assume that means he can use them all and knows all their weaknesses too. Hiruzen in his prime was OP, in his childhood he surpassed Tobirama in talent and since childhood was rigorously trained by Hashirama and Tobirama.

<p>I think that refers specifically to Konoha's jutsu. Basically, it seems he studied the various clan jutsu in the village and figured out how (and why) they worked. </p>

<p>I always considered and stated Hiruzen to be the Second Most powerful Hokage (not counting Naruto), after the First. Alot of people always used his Age etc. as reason for him being weakest...same way they would say Tsunade is weakest Hokage because she is a girl or because she didn't show any feats.

<p>Tsunade has shown plenty of feats. The reason people consider her the weakest Hokage is because her abilities mostly revolve around taijutsu, which is good enough, but she isn't all that fast either. However, due to her strength, she can compensate for that, as she hit the ground and cause shockwaves from the impact. She also has the ability to instantly heal from wounds for an extended amount of time, but the worse the injury, the more chakra she will have to apply to heal the damage. Most of the kages will be too fast for her and/or won't have to get close, which she needs to do. But, the weakest Hokage will go down to Kakashi. Losing the Sharingan I'm sure helped her chakra reserves, but he will not have the same advantages as he did with it. At least we can say that Tsunade has the ability to protect the village. </p>
