<p>For the complete context: He called him invincible at a time that most people that could challenge him, were dead. Madara was dead. Nagato hadn't shown himself yet. Obito hadn't revealed himself yet. Hashirama was dead. Other powerful characters like Kaguya or Hagoromo weren't introduced (and also, dead). </p><p>So while at the time it was probably a realistic statement, it means nothing in the greater whole. </p>

itachi has yata mirror and totsuka blade so hell yea he'll be invicible

Madara has not shown the speed to be able to catch Itachi with anything period.
