<p>It has to be a blood relative such as a sibling and the sibling has to either have a MS, or a Senjutsu boosted Sharingan to break the full force Tsukuyomi, the watered down version can be broke by a strong Sharingan user. Also Sasuke does not need to enter CS2 to use its Senjutsu to boost his Sharingan.. he only needs it to spread a bit across his face.. so he most likely did that in real life to escape the watered down version. </p>

<p>Again, there's no evidence that Sasuke activated CS in the real time, so all the assumptions about some "senjutsu-boost of Sharingan" are merely assumptions. Also, Itachi said that only a "Sharingan user with the same blood as him" can break Tsukuyomi, he didn't even mention that MS is necessary. </p>

<p>Ok, so we can only assume that Fugaku and Sasuke could break a watered down Tsukuyomi then. Nobody else can. </p>

And how did Fugaku suddenly get there? Itachi never used Tsukuyomi on him.

<p>Anyone can break it in theory. It's just that most of the time, it's not exactly something you'll be allowed to survive. Having CS, Sharingan and a blood relation to Itachi, as well as having survived at least two meant that it was easier for Sasuke to break it than any other person. </p><p>I'd argue it's similar to most MS techniques: They can be countered (some even fairly easily) if you know what you're fighting. It's just that you're unlikely to know what you're fighting (and unlikely to survive if you get caught). </p>

<p>@Rachin123. Susanoo is more of a defence/passive(I think) technique not a offensive type like tsukuyomi. It's pupose is to mainly help the user hence the transalation help all by any means(I think). It's for defence and attacks but not a one shot technique by nature, though it's power is such that it can kill mostly any ninja with single, simple moves from very far distances. Susanoo's lesser forms is each levels and it's used to fit into situations like think of a PS in a small room? </p><p>Now I'm just asking you, Does kamui, amaterasu,Koto,Shin's technique have a watered down version? </p><p>I'm not saying Itachi shouldn't or should. But what I'm saying is that Itachi very well did a move that to a younger version of Sasuke that you guys are saying is holding back now? I mean there was no mention of a weakend version ever. </p><p>The pshycological torture in tsukuyomi isn't that special, atleast every sharingan user can do it. It's the time manipulation that makes it deadly, it's the one that causes brain damage. proof is in the Itachi novel. Where Itachi gave a whole sweet life till they were old to his girlfriend and then she dies.... So sasuke's tsukuyomi which very well was starting to become a torture. was no exception from the normal tsukuyomi. </p><p>I'm not saying it's impressive I'm saying it was done with the same tsukuyomi that was done on sasuke twice. </p><p>Like Thekillman said, It's still is a jutsu and MS jutsu to add. it's purpose is to one shot someone with eye contact. no version of it ever showed it to not one shot anyone, without breaking through it. </p><p>Why doesn't anyone think sasuke wouldn't have noticed it? I mean he already experienced two unforgettable tsukuyomis. Itachi was trying his best not to let sasuke figure out that the truth. so a watered down tsukuyomi would be noticed by sasuke's sharingan. it's not like we ever really saw how a tsukuyomi works inside the mind from the beginning to the last. We see horrifying samples in the beginning and then we can only assumes what happens next. So sasuke's tsukuyomi could very well be torture since it already started with getting his eye plucked out. Yeah EMS madara breaking through tsukuyomi seems improbable. but he would such a jutsu since seeing he has knowledge even about MS jutsus that he never mentioned to see, like he somehow aborbed amaterasu? without rinnegen. so he probably has knowledge about each uchiha MS abilities, maybe from the uchiha's stone?(I don't remember it's actual name) </p><p>@Quakingstar. No, he didn't use senjutsu. if he used CM it would atleast show that, even in the face if possible. the manga showed that it wasn't by it clearly. even the zetsus never mentioned any CM. don't you think they would mention such a thing? instead BZ praised Sasuke's mastery with the sharingan. </p><p>@NarutoNamikaze. Yeah anyone other than a close relative uchiha with a powerful/mastered sharingan. but isn't most MS jutsus one shot type? I mean amaterasu if it get's in a ninja's face then he very well should be a rinnegen user or a perfect Jinchuriki to avoid that, Kamui can dispose a ninja or parts of his body to his pocket dimension. </p><p>Sasuke did it with only his Sharingan and willpower I guess. He broke through the Tsukuyomi that wasn't watered down. Even Itachi comfirmed the fact that it was possible. </p><p>
So people still say that Itachi was holding back and so everything he did was "watered down" since he wanted his brother alive. Well I kind of think I have a answer for that, </p><p>Think like this, Orochimaru, a creepy evil snake man, who wanted to live forever that, was also once obsessed by him and now is at a risk of possesing his boloved brother that he'll risk anything for, even the village's security. So he might have thought if he couldn't extract Oro out of sasuke then the next best way of saving his brother from oro would be to kill him, hence why he used amaterasu at sasuke and would have been dead if not for Oro's body replacement jutsu. I mean I think he used tsukuyomi so he could extract oro from a unconscious sasuke. I mean it's possible since Sasuke did it with Anko and so Itachi who would have tried to study ways to save his brother from oro would have known to do something like that. But it seemed he broke through, and just like thekillman said he was genuinely surprised(and we don't even know if Itachi even noticed the zetsus at the wall) </p><p>I also think I have a theory for why Itachi thought sasuke can only break out of tsukuyomi. I mean for one, he has the sharingan a very powerful analysis tool and it's evolved form the MS with a much more enhancement in it's abilities. So Itachi probably did tsukuyomi during the uchiha massacare. So he would have performed with a uchiha with a mastered sharingan and without mastered, with a uchiha without a sharingan and obiviously his close relative uchiha,that is his brother. And after that day, he have performed it with non uchihas and if counting kakashi then a non uchiha with a sharingan. So by my theory I think Itachi anaylised his memories of performing tsukuyomi with his brother and other victims and might have felt some special resistence against performing it with sasuke. he might have analysed that certain resistence came from different catagories of ninjas like, uchiha's with a mastered sharingan resisted > uchihas without a mastered sharingan > uchiha's without a sharingan > non uchihas. I don't know where to put non uchiha witha sharingan but I guess it would be probably be infront of uchiha's without a sharingan(only in kakashi's case I guess) and well I guess sasuke showed a certain resistence that Itachi might have made a theory with since he's a genius and all, and it was a theoey which worked. Well these are all my honest opinions. </p>

<p>I made a really long post but it didn't go through. Basically someone made a really convincing point about why the Tsukuyomi used on Sasuke was a lot weaker. His or her argument was basically taking in consideration why Itachi used the illusion he did. </p><p>The most convincing point that person made, is that the illusion Itachi used on Sasuke had no end game. What exactly was Itachi going to do afterwards, if he accomplished taking out both of Sasuke's eyes in the illusion? Kill illusion Sasuke? Put Sasuke to sleep? Doing either of those things would mess up Itachi's plans and run contrary to his goals. Why is that an important point? Since the illusion had no end game, the only logical conclusion is Itachi intended for Sasuke to break it. </p><p>Secondly the pain experienced in the illusion Sasuke was under was far from the worse Itachi could have inflicted on him. Imagine Sasuke getting stabbed by many many Itachi's from the second he's in the illusion (similar to Kakashi's last moments in Tsukuyomi). As seen Sasuke had to put in a fair amount of effort to break Tsukuyomi. Also we've seen that pain can hinder attempts to break genjutsu, with Naruto. If Itachi maximized the amount of pain Sasuke felt could Sasuke have broken out it? Unlikely. </p>

Itachi already claimed that sasuke can break through it. </p><p>2.He believes in his brother's power. </p><p>3.Sasuke already experienced tsukuyomi two times. Yet he did not find any mistake in this one. </p><p>4. Itachi very well knows that sasuke would identify a weakened version if there was. so he would probably wouldn't risk his brother knowing the truth and all. </p><p>5. Itachi probably wanted to use some jutsu to extract Orochimaru out of Sasuke. Example: Like what sasuke did with Anko. </p><p>6. Itachi shot a amaterasu straight at sasuke. And then checked if he was dead. </p><p>7. Itachi doesn't want sasuke to be possesed by immortal creepy snake man. I mean who would?So he probably thought if he couldn't extract orochimaru. he probably could kill sasuke and save him from being imprisoned for eternity. </p><p>

Itachi was probably in between safety of his two most favorite things in the world. one sasuke and the second Konoha. if he didn't extraxt orochimaru out og sasuke. he'll probably make a dangerous villain to konoha and his brother would lose his conscious. </p><p>9. Sasuke BROKE through tsukuyomi. He really did not need to be affected by it's time manipulation.for some reason people don't get it. </p><p>10.The pschological torture of tsukuyomi isn't special for tsukuyomi.actually every sharingan user can do it and it just depends on his skills. Usually smart genjutsu using shinobi's when facing a shinobi with great resistence against genjutsu( like sharingan) he would probably do a genjutsu t o fool the his opponent than make a genjutsu of a red moon and let the guy know that there's a genjutsuforming for hin to escape. </p><p>13. in respect to no.11 and no. 5. Itachi wanted Sasuke to believe that he wasn't in genjutsu so he could spend the whole tsukuyomi in order for him to be unconscious. sasuke broke through the tsukuyomi after Itachi kind of changed. </p><p>14. The only proof we have of Itachi backing down came from a guy who wore a mask and called himself Madara and sometimes Tobi. Obito's main plan was to manipulate sasuke emotionly and what do you think would break him down more emotionly? a Itachi fighting him for life or a Itachi backing down and letting sasuke win? . Itachi never did explain if he backed down. </p><p>15. what was Itachi's plan actually? I'm not asking because I don't know. But I'm asking because it's confusing. </p><p>If Itachi actually wanted sasuke to judge him on whether he should live or die and yet wanted him to kill him in order to be a hero for the village. why did he not just let Sasuke use his chidori through his body at the inn? I mean he could just say like, "I can't believe it. I underestimated you sasuke" as in he did not expect such a powerful technique from his little brother and die? or something like that? Why did he not do it? </p><p>Since he already knows what sasuke actually wants? then why not? </p><p>It seems weird for me. </p><p>16. The idea of sharingan breaking through tsukuyomi was already a theory Kakashi made. which he tried but failed. and then Itachi explains to him that only a true blood related uchiha with a mastered sharingan can only break through it. </p><p>17. Finally. Itachi SAID that Sasuke CAN BREAK through Tsukuyomi. that to Kakashi. </p>

Also Itachi said that he didn't trust Sasuke strength after his fight with Kabuto. </p><p>4. Unlikely. Sasuke would have to know the upper limits of Tsukuyomi, for him to guess Itachi was holding back and how would he if he never tried to break it before than? As long as it took some serious effort for Sasuke to get out of Tsukuyomi why would he question it, he knew very little about the MS full capabilities. </p><p>5. This is also unlikely. Sasuke was able to get Orochimaru out of him because he had the Curse Seal's power, Itachi doesn't have that. </p><p>10. It doesn't matter if Tsukuyomi is special or not regarding torture. What matters is if Sasuke break out Tsukuyomi when the torture is maximized. </p>

<p>People seem to miss that Itachis Eye is heavly weakend at this point of the story. Meaning Tsukuyomi is also not at its peak of strenght. Additional to that Sasukes Curse Mark Power, which boosted his Sharingan allowed him to break out of Itachis Genjutsu more easily next to the experience he had with Tsukuyomi on top. Itachi also didnt went all out with the Genjutsu, since Sasuke's brain wouldn't be able to recover from that. Imagine what Torture Sasuke would go through being hours and hours in the Genjutsu, while only seconds have passed in the real world. </p><p>I also wouldnt go that far to say Itachi went all out on Sasuke. He just pushed him to get him to the point of Orochimarus break out. Itachi planed to get himself killed by Sasuke, but ultimately died of his illness because Sasuke was to weak. </p>
