<p>Hello everyone!! I would like to hear about your opinions regarding whether a briefing on the Namikaze Clan (Minato's Clan) should be introduced in the new Boruto Manga and Anime. Do give your comments and speculations on their background, founding, their role in the founding of Konohagakure (Or are they affiliated to another village, one which could even be of their own), their abilities (Currently they are known to have an affinity towards wind release, but according to the clan name, it is also possible that they also know water release and by extension ice release), patriarchs and notable members. Thank You

<p>there is no Namikaze clan. Minato didn't belong to a clan. the Namikaze is just like the haruno, a Family not a clan. there is a difference

<p>Literally one Namikaze has been shown in the series, not counting Naruto who has taken the name Uzumaki. It would seen that it is a minor family like Sakura's or Ten Ten rather than a full blown clan.

<p>Well, in the fourth databook, natures were given to most of the characters, even if they've never used them in the series so far. Wind Release actually is amongst Minato's elements, along with Fire, Lightning, Yin and Yang. However, the such a statement about a Wind affinity is still incorrect, it was never said that Minato's affinity is exactly Wind Release, since the databook doesn't specify it, so it could be either Fire or Lighning as well, they have even chances with Wind. </p>

Of course Kushina was also proficient in wind release, but why I am referring to Minato is, his second name Namikaze means 'waves and winds' and hence it strongly indicates his ties to wind release (just my speculation). Kishimoto himself has stated that he designed Minato based on the Shinto God 'Susanoo', the god of seas and storms. Lord Susanoo's wife was Princess Kushina, whom he saved and married after killing the Yamato-no-Orochi. This fact also makes me wonder whether the Namikaze is just merely a family name or a clan, because just like the Senju clan of the forest, it could be also the Namikaze clan of the seashore or something. </p>

here is the thing drawing inspiration doesn't dictate abilities. and you are assuming he has a clan which is not true if he had a clan it would have been said so already

<p>This whole Kushina x Minato thing is confusing. Should there be a Namikaze Clan, then Kushina should have been Kushina Namikaze and a member of said clan. But should the Namikaze Family just be a ordinary one, then Minato would have married into the Uzumaki Clan. Yet both kept there birth name. Were they even married? Is Naruto a bastard? Haha
