ALL POSTSWho is the best teacher out of the Konoha 12?
<p>Actual teacher, not strongest Ninja. I'd like to know what everyone thinks of the others as teachers. It may be hard to judge some based on lack of screen time aka Kurenai, but we can go off some assumptions with her. Also like to see the reasoning behind your choices.
</p><p>1. Might Guy- Guy seems to be the best teacher to me just overall. While Lee was obviously his preferred student it was clear he still trained Neji and TenTen. It showed in the flashback he tried to teach them the gates as well, but Lee was the only one who could do it. His training regime built up his team's strength and he showed excellent judgement. More so then the other three teachers simply because he let his team train for a year to be better prepared for the chuunin exam instead of just throwing them into it after they had barely been genin for a month. If not for Gaara's team I'm pretty sure team Guy would have likely swept the chuunin exams. And don't brink up Naruto beating Neji, Naruto only won due to the fox.
</p><p>2.Asuma- Asuma was a great teacher and friend to Ino-Shika-Cho. The flash backs they had while fighting his edo-tensei form where kinda heartbreaking/warming. He helped Shikimaru be the leader he knew he could be, and Choji get some confidence in his abilities. Really the only thing holding him back from number one is he didn't seem to have taught Ino how to fight on her own. Choji and Shikimaru could fight on their own, but Ino seems to be useless in combat without her sqaudmates.
</p><p>3. Kurenai-Sadly we don't see much of Kurenai or her team. We see a brief image of the aftermath of her apparently strenuous training. We also see her express concerns over Hinata showing she cares for her team. Can't rank her higher then three, because her lack of screen time which is a shame because we hardly see any genjutsu users outside of sharingan users.
</p><p>4. Kakashi is the worst of the teachers out of the four. I don't hate Kakashi this is not a Kakashi bashing thread, but he is not a good teacher. Preshipuuden the only real training he ever did with them as a group was tree climbing training. When Sakura showed she was the best at it, he did nothing with her to help her get stronger. After the Zabuza arc it was painfully obvious Sakura was by far the weakest link on the team and out of the Konoha twelve. Ino at least had her clan abilities to boost her usefulness Sakura had nothing save for mastery of basics and seemingly innate chakra control. Neither of which were taught by Kakashi. It should have been abundantly clear she was not ready for the exam and would only drag the team down, but he went ahead and tossed them into the chuunin exams anyways.
</p><p>He then proceeded to only train Sasuke and utterly ignore the other two. Yes most teachers have their favorite student, but they don't ignore the others. This is a man who has copied a thousand jutsu he could have and should have taught them something for Sakura didn't have a clan nor did Naruto know he was a part of clan nor did he have access to any clan jutsu. Naruto also held a freaking force of nature in his body, so it seemed like a good idea to train your village's strongest asset so he could fight without just relying on brute force and possibly losing control, but no it's all about that golden boy Sasuke.
</p><p>It's only after Shippuden that he helps Naruto train and it's Yamato helping him mainly. He again ignores Sakura, but she has a niche now so it's not as bad when he ignored her before she had any direction. That's why he's the worst teacher to me.

<p>You can kind of make the same arguments you used about on Kakashi about Gai as well. There is no secret that Gai focused mostly on Lee. Neji was mostly on his own, while TenTen showed no aptitude beside her Ninja weapons skills,which i doubt Gai had something to do with.
Kakashi was showed as well training his genins.Although he focused more on Sasuke, he still put some time in the others as well with the chakra control/tree climbing thing, and teaching them how to release from genjutsu, at least Sakura.
Gai gave them the choice to take the exam a year later, but honestly, beside Neji, the other 2 were complete garbage.Lee wasn't developed yet. On the other hand, Kakashi had reasons to trust his squad, after the incident in the land of Waves. I'm not sold on Gai being the best.

<p>He did train the other two though. Guy I mean. Lee and Guy had far more endurance then Neji and Tenten. The ran hundreds of laps around the village for fun, but on missions Neji and TenTen were able to keep up with them over long distances. Lee and Tenten were not garbage either. Lee danced all over Sasuke's face during the chuunin exams and took on Gaara and nearly won. Tenten was matched against the worst opponent for a ranged attacker. Heck Temari was one of the strongest people in that exam. So saying Tenten is garbage because she has no screen time and lost to one of the strongest kunochi in the series isn't fair. Tenten is also good with every weapon. Every. Single. Weapon. Most shinobi can only use basic ninja tools then one or two other weapons. She can use everything she gets her hands on. Add that with her being the fastest kunochi in her year, before training with guy who focuses on phyiscal combat and she is very competent. She's literally just in the wrong anime for her skills to shine. Team Guy easily trumps team 7 in the chuunin exams barring Naruto just going tailed beast mode.

<p>I said they were garbage at the time when they refused to take part in the first year of chunin exams. Lee got very strong only a year later, when he fought Sasuke and Gaara, but his strength wasn't developed in the first year.

<p>Ah sorry for misreading. Still Sakura was garbage going into the exam. Ino wasn't much better off, but at least she had some utility. Hinata wasn't ready either. Most those not ready were female due to Kisimoto being fairly sexist. The only other two konoha ninja not fully ready for the exam were Naruto imo and Choji.

Yet Naruto beat Kiba on his own.The fact that he was clueless during the written exam is another story lol.

Due to a fart which makes no sense to me. As a tracker odds are he's passed by carrion before which likely stinks more then a fart. Also the fox was passively healing his wounds. Remember when Naruto was given a bit of medicine from Hinata and the wound instantly healed? The fox was rendering Kiba's hit and run style tactics less effective then they normally would. It also still boosts his chakra allowing him to spam clones as often as he did.

<p>He took advantage of the enemy's weakness, nothing wrong with it, even if it's a fart. Also, you bring up Kurama, yet Kiba used and still uses Akamaru, a dog, in every single fight. Yet nobody is picking on him. And rightfully so. Akamaru is part of Kiba's character, in the same way Kurama is part of Naruto's character.There is nothing wrong in Naruto using Kurama in battle. But in this particular battle, Kurama had nothing to do with. Naruto is an Uzumaki as well, and has healing, stamina and can withstand hard hits on his own. In part 1 they made it pretty obvious when Naruto was using Kurama's chakra, and in Kiba's fight was not the case.

<p>The difference between Akamaru and Kurama is like comparing a knife to a nuclear warhead. Naruto has a huge advantage over everyone because of Kuruma and I still don't think he'd have won without the fox.
