ALL POSTSWho is the best teacher out of the Konoha 12?
<p>Actual teacher, not strongest Ninja. I'd like to know what everyone thinks of the others as teachers. It may be hard to judge some based on lack of screen time aka Kurenai, but we can go off some assumptions with her. Also like to see the reasoning behind your choices.
</p><p>1. Might Guy- Guy seems to be the best teacher to me just overall. While Lee was obviously his preferred student it was clear he still trained Neji and TenTen. It showed in the flashback he tried to teach them the gates as well, but Lee was the only one who could do it. His training regime built up his team's strength and he showed excellent judgement. More so then the other three teachers simply because he let his team train for a year to be better prepared for the chuunin exam instead of just throwing them into it after they had barely been genin for a month. If not for Gaara's team I'm pretty sure team Guy would have likely swept the chuunin exams. And don't brink up Naruto beating Neji, Naruto only won due to the fox.
</p><p>2.Asuma- Asuma was a great teacher and friend to Ino-Shika-Cho. The flash backs they had while fighting his edo-tensei form where kinda heartbreaking/warming. He helped Shikimaru be the leader he knew he could be, and Choji get some confidence in his abilities. Really the only thing holding him back from number one is he didn't seem to have taught Ino how to fight on her own. Choji and Shikimaru could fight on their own, but Ino seems to be useless in combat without her sqaudmates.
</p><p>3. Kurenai-Sadly we don't see much of Kurenai or her team. We see a brief image of the aftermath of her apparently strenuous training. We also see her express concerns over Hinata showing she cares for her team. Can't rank her higher then three, because her lack of screen time which is a shame because we hardly see any genjutsu users outside of sharingan users.
</p><p>4. Kakashi is the worst of the teachers out of the four. I don't hate Kakashi this is not a Kakashi bashing thread, but he is not a good teacher. Preshipuuden the only real training he ever did with them as a group was tree climbing training. When Sakura showed she was the best at it, he did nothing with her to help her get stronger. After the Zabuza arc it was painfully obvious Sakura was by far the weakest link on the team and out of the Konoha twelve. Ino at least had her clan abilities to boost her usefulness Sakura had nothing save for mastery of basics and seemingly innate chakra control. Neither of which were taught by Kakashi. It should have been abundantly clear she was not ready for the exam and would only drag the team down, but he went ahead and tossed them into the chuunin exams anyways.
</p><p>He then proceeded to only train Sasuke and utterly ignore the other two. Yes most teachers have their favorite student, but they don't ignore the others. This is a man who has copied a thousand jutsu he could have and should have taught them something for Sakura didn't have a clan nor did Naruto know he was a part of clan nor did he have access to any clan jutsu. Naruto also held a freaking force of nature in his body, so it seemed like a good idea to train your village's strongest asset so he could fight without just relying on brute force and possibly losing control, but no it's all about that golden boy Sasuke.
</p><p>It's only after Shippuden that he helps Naruto train and it's Yamato helping him mainly. He again ignores Sakura, but she has a niche now so it's not as bad when he ignored her before she had any direction. That's why he's the worst teacher to me.

<p>Re-read the whole chapter than. Ibisu was explaining to Naruto why he needs to use more of his chakra in order to perform techniques than Naruto and Sasuke, and that he has bad chakra control. Than Kakashi jumps in with the explanation. He was talking about Naruto having trouble to control his own chakra...it was pretty clear.

<p>And not long thereafter we learn that the Five Element Seal is screwing up his chakra control, so it seems to me that Kakashi's explanation was speculation. After all, that seal restricted Kurama's chakra, so it seems weird to me that his control would get worse if Kurama's disturbing influence is cut off. </p>

<p>Give me a break with these poor excuses...that was a general talk they had and it was pretty obvious. Kakashi only saw Naruto fight after he received the seal from Orochimaru against Kiba, where he didn't display anything unusual (in a bad way) than what Kakashi knew about Naruto fighting style and chakra control. So that was a general conclusion on Kakashi's side, and nothing else. And on top of being Kakashi's words, those were Kishimoto's words, so guess what, unlike Kakashi, knew that Naruto had the seal.
And on top of everything, Ebisu did the most explanation and he said first that Naruto has bad chakra control and that he needs to use a larger portion of his chakra than the others. And Ebisu only saw Naruto or Naruto's shadow clones in like the first chapters when there was the whole Konohamaru introduction. So please...

<p>You got to be kidding...just read on Five Elements Seal page so i won't have to explain it to you. In short, the seal disturbed Naruto's chakra as well because "an odd-numbered seal creates an imbalance when placed on top of an even-numbered seal", as was stated. So, yes, the Five Elements Seal disturbed Naruto's chakra more than Kurama did, so when Naruto had the seal removed, he restored his usual routine and had his chakra control on a Kurama disturbance level again.
And those are the author word, it's quite clearly. Kishimoto wouldn't gone out of his way to make Kakashi say a statement about the main protagonist, Naruto, and the main plot, Kurama, just for it to be half-truth or whatever, especially in part 1. Honestly, i think i provided enough arguments and enough clear evidence regarding the topic for my comments to be considered true.

<p>Regardless having a tailed beast inside of him carried Naruto through many of his fights. I still think Kiba vs Naruto was one of those fights. Naruto only won cause of a lucky fart cause he didn't plan that, and the ninetails inside him. He only won agaisnt Neji cause of Ninetails, he only survived Sasuke fighting him cause Kurama healed him. He stood no chance against Orichimaru when he went four tails on him. Naruto could have been better if Kakashi had been a better teacher and laid out better ground work for Jiraya to work with.

It's funny that against Gaara in the forest Naruto made like 1000 shadow clones on his OWN, without Kurama, yet against Neji he made like 7. So, just because of that feat alone i still believe that Naruto got nerfed against Neji. So him using Kurama at least made up for it.
He used Kurama against Sasuke, true. Sasuke used the curse mark that he received from Orochimaru as well, so they are even.
And are you kidding me? Stood no chance against Orochimaru? You do realize that Naruto completely trashed Orochimaru.Orochimaru couldn't do jack against him.When he tried to land a hit, he got bisected in two.And if it wasn't for Yamato restraining Naruto, Orochimaru would've died in that battle. By his own words, he was at his limit, while Naruto didn't even show signs that he was even tired. Why are you bringing Kurama up all the time? Jesus, it's Naruto's power...he has all the right in the world to use it.

<p>Remove your comments if you're going to continue to act like this. All I'm saying Naruto couldn't accomplish most his feats without the fox. The fox is not his power, he was not born or trained with it like those with clans/kekkai genkai. It was sealed in him, and if the village wasn't run by incompetent morons they'd have people training their living weapon to better be able to control it, not just for the purpose of accomplishing missions, but the safety of the village so every time he lost a comrade or saw someone get hurt there wasn't a chance of a freaking Kaijuu breaking loose and destroying everything around it for miles.
</p><p>As for standing a chance against Orichimaru the man didn't go all in. He didn't use the giant white snake form or other techniques. Without the fox Naruto wouldn't have been any kind of threat to the man...woman...whatever Orichimaru is now. A normal base Naruto with no fox still has lots of chakra and could make a good number of clones. Enough for Kakashi to have shown him that training method earlier and tried to teach the kid some jutsu or something so he didn't rely on the same tricks throughout most the series.
</p><p>All the teachers could have taught their students more. I'm still surprised Kurenai didn't teach Hinata genjutsu so she could just trap people in illusions while hiding since she could see through objects for miles around. There was a lot of wasted potential that looking back makes one wonder why the series went the way it did.
