Wonder why they even used Pakura's design in Will of Fire. Naruto movies always had flaws with the canonical timeline.

<p>Similar to how we don't list canon information as "In the Manga" or "In the Last/Boruto Movie", we shouldn't list Boruto anime information starting with "In the anime" correct? </p>

<p>I think the entire thing should be reworked, creates more issues now than its worth. </p>

<p>It's not just Pakura's design either, the other shinobi had the designs of Toroi, Gari and Chūkichi. However, the Kekkei Genkai that Hiruko absorbed from the shinobi he kidnapped were Storm Release, Dark Release, Steel Release, and Swift Release. Whereas Pakura, Toroi and Gari each possess different Kekkei Genkai altogether and Chūkichi doesn't appear to even have any Kekkei Genkai at all. </p><p>As for the movies' placement in the timeline, most of them can fit with minimal problems. It's really only <i>Blood Prison</i> and <i>Road to Ninja</i> that don't quite fit, due to inconsistencies. I think the answer provided here explains it quite well. </p>

2nd Shippuuden movie Bonds doesn't fit the timeline either.

<p>It's estimated to happen after the end of the Three Tails' Appearance (Episode 112) and before the beginning of the Itachi Pursuit Mission (Episode 113). This is based on the fact that Orochimaru is sick in the movie, which he was around the time that Sasuke "killed" him. </p>

<p>As far as this wiki is concerned, canon is dictated by the Canon Policy. </p><p>In short, </p><p>K-Canon (Kishimoto/Kodachi Canon) = Top canon over everything. </p><p>A-Canon (Anime Canon) = Things in the Anime are presented in articles unless they directly contradict something in the manga. </p><p>C-Canon (Continuity Canon) = Anything that comes from an official source that is NOT part of the anime or the manga. For example, books and movies. </p><p>N-Canon (Non-Canon) = Spin-offs. </p>

I personally consider everything that we've seen so far to be canon. Sumire's arc was a novel which means it wasn't pulled out of nowhere plus the fact that it revolved around the Nue and Boruto's Jogan shows that it is definitely relevant to the story as well as it being relevant to the Otsutsuki clan which are going to clearly be the main villains of the whole "Boruto series". The Gaiden arc was obviously part of the manga. And since this Mist Village trip has been mentioned by Boruto in the current chapter then it's probably a reference to it being relevant to the current story line. Plus the new 7 ninja swordsmen that we have now are so well thought out design wise for them to just be filler characters. I'm pretty sure those who will stay alive out of them after this arc will definitely make an appearance in the manga.
