ALL POSTSHow did Hagoromo just awaken the Rinnegan? And why do you require his Chakra to do so?
<p>Now the title may look like my question is dumb (And it might be, since I haven't watched later episodes ever since they came out). So to my question on how Hagoromo just awakened the Rinnegan like that is that he is the son of Kaguya which wielded the Rinne-Sharingan which is safe to assume it split into the Rinnegan and Sharingan, hence why Hagoromo had it. But the more I look into it, the less makes sense. Think about it, why did it even split? It doesn't make sense besides saying it was too powerful, and then I know there are people who will say that you don't always enherit a parent's KG (such as Boruto and the Byakugan, at least for now), but he still had the Rinnegan and Sharingan seperated meaning he did enherit part of it. But that wouldn't still explain how he just awoken it, now yes I am using the filler as a basis on how he did it here, but it's safe to assume something similar happened, but then why would you require to recreate Hagoromo's Chakra for it? Because of his Chakra "type" or it just being special you say? Then what about the Sharingan? Remind you it was also part of the Rinne-Sharingan and yet the Uchiha can awaken it just fine. And folowing that logic wouldn't you also unlock the Sharingan's abilities as Hagoromo also had it (If you didn't have one before that is). If so then what's the point of a Rinne-Sharingan in the first place? Or even better, what's the point of splitting? The only way I can see this working is if Hagoromo didn't have a Sharingan, which could make sense, however, then how would Indra get his? Recessive trait (From Kaguya's Rinne-Sharingan)? Might be but we were never told an Uchiha/Hyuga or Otsutsuki (I mean the only manga-only Otsutsuki with it would be Indra.) could be born without a Sharingan or a Byakugan for that matter. And inb4 people say "Boruto.", He's mixed blood I highly doubt that counts. Furthermore didn't Indra enherit Hagoromo's "eyes" meaning he (Hagoromo) must've had the Sharingan.

<p>@ultima: using orbs that take whatever shape he wants to create a weapon that originally had no special properties but was used against the TTJ anyways wouldnt be so crazy. Long story short, he really liked the staff.
</p><p>@killman: Madara cheated and used his Hashi parts. Senjutsu chakra is shown to be easily transferable.
</p><p>Namikaze: yes a strong body is needed but not in the same sense as the traits described by Hagoromo's sons. Ashuras bloodline's strong bodies come from extremely high healing, life force, and longevity. Sage modes "strong body" just requires someones body to be strong by relatively normal standards.

<p>Well, Hagoromo awakened Mangekyou Sharingan then Rinnegan but his MS wasn't seen because his MS quickly evovled into Rinnegan.

<p>the Rinne Sharingan did not split in two to create the Sharingan and the Rinnegan. hagoromo inherited his mothers Rinne-Sharingan power but it mutated into the Rinnegan a completely different brand new Dojutsu. the datebook says the Rinnegan is the Evolved form of the Rinne-sharingan. mind the Rinne-Sharigan only has 3 or 4 unique abilities.
</p><p>a child only inherites a fraction of DNA from each parent. chakra though while influenced by DNA is also influenced by the training ethic of the user, a shinobi can inherit chakra nature's from a parent and than take the chakra nature into a completely different path.
</p><p>my theory is that, when hagoromo and hamura inherited a fraction of their mothers chakra it was diluted, but because they were both born with the ability to mold there physical and spiritual energies together, there mothers chakra merged with there own unique chakra that was the result of there own training, causing hagoromo's Rinne powers and Sharingan powers to evolve together into the Rinnegan, and Hamura's Byakugan to merge with his own developed chakra into the Tenseigan

<p>the databook specifically states that the Rinnegan is derived from the Rinne-sharingan, thats the same thing as saying it evolved from it. no where does it say that the Rinnegan and Sharingan are half of the power of the Rinne-sharingan. the Rinnegan is clearly a mutation of the Rinne-sharingan.

<p>Not this again. I thought we had reached a consensus, the Rinnegan and Sharingan are sibling dojutsu that together, in addition with 1 or 2 other KKG, make up the Rinne Sharingan?
</p><p>Madara and Hagoromo couldn't manifest Sharingan and Rinnegan at the same time. Sasuke can, but it still manifests as two separate dojutsu (indicating 2 portions of Rinne Sharingan DNA are still missing). This indicates that Rinnegan and Sharingan are separate dojutsu. This is further reinforced by Black Zetsu who showed no bias for Transmigrants.

People continue to believe that Sharingan and Rinnegan are evolutions/devolutions/mutations/stages of each other or whatever, even though it makes no sense.
</p><p>It's all in the name, Rinne (Rinnegan) Sharingan (Sharingan, duh)
Hagoromo instead of being born with Rinne Sharingan, instead first awakens the Sharingan (in the anime in the least, which may not be canon, but still), which is clearly a lesser form of Rinne Sharingan and then he gets Rinnegan, which is clearly also delivered from the Rinne part of Rinne Sharingan.
But in no way or form does it go like: Rinne Sharingan > Rinnegan > Sharingan/Sharingan < Rinnegan < Rinne Sharingan.
Rather it goes: Rinne Sharingan > Sharingan = Rinnegan.
</p><p>Sasuke's eye is unique in that it can have both the Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsu active at the same time. It's not a different or special Rinnegan, just Rinnegan and Sharingan at the same time.
Sort of a pseudo-Rinne Sharingan if you will. But even though one of his eyes can have both doujutsu active at the same time, it's not a real Rinne Sharingan, because both aspects aren't fully merged into one.

<p>I would leave out red and yellow Rinnegan out of this for now, because it's been unexplained and inconsistent.
First, in artwork, Momoshiki's Rinnegan is drawn red. In first promotional art, it's purple. In the movie it's red and then becomes purple. In the manga it's ?? and becomes yellow, but on volume 2 cover it's purple.
So it's seems red Rinnegan is a thing exclusive to the movie and it's been retconned, meaning in newer canon Momoshiki's Rinnegan has been purple all along until he merged with Kinshiki, then it changed color for whatever reason.

<p>Kekkei Genkai: genes based.
Kekkei Tota: a combination between Kekkei Genkai and a Hiden.
Kekkei Mora: based on a specific form of chakra.
</p><p>This is how I see it.
</p><p>First was the God Tree, the first thing with chakra. It had the Rinne-Sharingan on top of it and a fruit.
</p><p>Then Kaguya eat it and became the first person with chakra. And because the Chakra had special properties she could awaken the Rinne-Sharingan (once again: a special ability requiring a special chakra) and all her abilities being a Kekkei Mora too.
</p><p>Once she became pregnant and her children were in constant contact with her chakra. There Genes mutated and got linked to some of her abilities.
- Hagoromo having the sharingan
- Hamura the Byakugan.
Both capable Abilities to be passed down through genetics (Kekkei Genkai)
But both at the same time inheret a portion of her special Chakra causing:
- Hagoromo to awaken the Kekkei Mora Rinnegan
- And Hamura the Kekkei Mora Tenseigan.
</p><p>And as far as I can tell a Kekkei Tota requires special training. For example A Nature Transformation Kekkei Genkai is created by (taking Yamatos explanation) mixing earth in one hand and water in the other, to create Wood.
Now how are Ohnoki and Mu mixing three nature while only having to hands? I dont know but Mu figured something out and thought it Ohnoki.
