<p>Your taking it way to deep. Firstly, "dark, twisted sense of humor"...you serious? Those who believe that are way to deep into the mess. Firstly, Naruto's love for Sakura was TO BE HONEST never foreseeable. Despite Naruto few attempts, Sakura never gave him the time of day. That ship was entirely for comedy purposes. Only time it was sort of serious was when Sakura falsely confessed her love for him. Never again was the ship brought back. </p><p>If those with "dark, twisted sense of humor" are targeted audience for the "abuse", then Kakashi, and Jiraiya characters were for comedy also. For the perveted audience, of course. They were complete jokes, and had no significance whatsoever...right? No? Oh. Never was Sakura's "abuse" used for major character development, nor was it used for minor character development. Its insignificant. Lastly, its a work of fiction. Don't take it seriously. </p>

<p>You cannot blame someone for who they are. It's not a dark or twisted sense of humor because it's seen in all these kinds of super long animes and everyone laughs because it's actually supposed to be light-hearted. You're taking the punches and her bad attitude too seriously. It's not abuse when not even the opposite side cares. All these kinds of animes have it. Look, sometimes I hit my friends when I'm on a rage, but just like in Naruto, I've never sent them to a hospital. Sakura has never given Naruto such hard punches that he has to go to a hospital, even if he does have super-human regeneration powers. </p><p>NaLu is not loveless. Lucy does show care for Natsu, even though she doesn't show it too often. Not to mention, Natsu shows up at her house when she's naked. NAKED! Who wouldn't want to punch a man like that, even if it is someone that you care about?! Lucy shows appreciation for everything Natsu does and she thanks him. Yes, he annoys her but who doesn't annoy each other? Lisanna doesn't show care for Natsu in any other arc but the Edolas arc. After that, they just stopped spending time together. Why? Because they've lost that bond. Sure, Lisanna hugged him when she saw him but she did the same thing to Makarov one episode later. </p><p>Your point of love is not exactly real love. Yelling, screaming and fighting can happen between lovers, but it's not like they break up right away. Love is about accepting each other no matter what the other person is like. Naruto loved Sakura (probably because he wanted to get her from Sasuke like Sakura mentioned in The Last) and all through her punches and kicks, he said nothing because he loved her and he accepted her flaws. If you can't accept the flaws of your significant other, then you're not cut out for love. Fights, screaming, yelling and throwing things at each other happen in love, but that only makes your relationship stronger because you both know that you can endure hardships together and your relationship becomes stronger. Naruto and Hinata never had a lover's spat, which means that we don't know if their relationship is strong enough because they've never gone through any of the challenges of love together. Love is not about sparkles and paradise and everything is beautiful. No, love has its ugly sides, and that's what makes true love strong. </p><p>Throughout every spat, every attempted murder, every ugly side of Sasuke shown to Sakura, she accepted him the way he was and continued to love him. She many times tried to stop him too, but couldn't because she cared too much. I'm not a shipper person, but I can tell that Sakura showed genuine love and loyalty. Sure, Hinata was also loyal to Naruto, but she was always watching from afar and never open about her feelings about him to him. Openness is important in love because how else are you going to communicate your feelings? </p>

<p>It makes zero difference whether the abuse is intended to be serious or comical by the writers, abuse is still abuse, and thus equally worse. In fact, countless abusers in reality deliberately abuse their victims for comical purposes--you know, just to experience laughter--but does this mean we can let them have their way just because you think it's not to be taken seriously? No way! Abuse is still abuse, regardless of the reasons behind it. </p>

<p>Sakura has no potential. Her clan is not specified and sakura really never bothered to explain. Furthermore interconnecting with this is how sakura managed to reach tsunades level so easily in about 1/3 of the time. Moreover her personality is not kawaii and she was way too powered during the sasori fight. Also i see that u guys feel that sakura loved sasuke regardless of his deeds yet we never really saw an intense moment of emotion between these two that could have given rise to potential for a mutual relationship. Sakura kinda just squeezed through naruto-sasuke bromance 😉 and kinda went into the relationship to protect her own hubris and impulses(arousal) . Atleast thats why i think describes her best </p>

<p>@ Mako Fanboy, has Sakura ever put Naruto into the hospital? Has Sakura ever given Naruto mental illnesses? Does Naruto hate Sakura for hitting him? Did Naruto stop being friends with Sakura because of the abuse? Real abuse is when the victim is sent to the hospital and given years of therapy because of their mental and physical state. And what does Naruto get when Sakura hits him? Just a couple of bruises that heal in 0.1 seconds. </p><p>If you can't handle a little bit of violence, why do you watch Naruto? Abuse is violence, fighting is violence, playing around with fire and burning people is violence, destroying people's organs is violence, gentle fist and ninjutsu is violence. Naruto is one of those shows that revolves around "violence". If you think what Sakura does to Naruto is equal to the things that the show revolves around, why do you watch things like this? </p><p>Temari also hits Shikamaru and Shikadai, what do you say to that? She even flung them out of the house with her giant fan in Boruto. Kushina punched her own son on the head when he first met her, what do you have to say to that? Kushina even beat up a genin when she was still in the Academy. Neji tried to kill Hinata during the Chuunin exams because of something she said, what about that? Sasuke and Naruto always fight, they even got their arms lost. Does that count as abuse as well? I mean, it's violent, they lost their arms and they had to wait for Sakura to come save their asses before they bled to death. Does that count as abuse too? Hmm, I wonder...... </p><p>@ BigVibber, to be honest, I think the show makes no difference whether Hinata, Sakura, Temari or any other girl was the heroine. She was not trying to squeeze into the naruto-sasuke bromance because they were in a league of their own. </p><p>What about that time when Sasuke poked her forehead? That was his ultimate expression for love, wasn't it? Bonds come in all different shapes, so their love doesn't have to be your idea of love where it's always shown so obviously. Sasuke's kind of a kuudere so it takes time for them to show their soft side. Love doesn't always have to be out in the open. Wonder why some people hide their relationships? Plus, I don't think you really understand the concept of "fidelity". If you did, you'd understand why Sakura endured the whole time and why it counts as true love. </p>

<p>Ok first of all, she is not a slut. She's just being a twelve-year-old girl with a crazy crush on some dude. If you've ever watched Miraculous Ladybug, you'll understand. Lemme give you an example from this TV show. Marinette, the protagonist, is obsessed/in love/crushing on Adrien and you can tell that she is head-over-heels for him. If she saw Adrien peeing, I think she'd definitely prefer it over seeing Nathaniel or Ivan peeing. Just like here, if you saw your crush peeing, you would definitely prefer that over someone who you don't really like that much. </p><p>Second of all, Naruto was asking Sakura out on a date with him to Ichiraku ramen, and because she doesn't have that kind of romantic feelings for him, therefore did not accept. And afterwards, she was kind of upset about not going with him so she has some common sense and some sympathy. Might I add that when Naruto asked Hinata out on a date, Hinata did offer to go to a cheaper restaurant but she didn't even offer to pay half and neither did she think about paying half. Sakura, on the other hand, did think over her actions with a bit of remorse and regret. </p><p>Plus, she was just a girl with an obsession with a guy. A lot of young girls have crushes and obsessions, and it's no different for her. She reminds me a lot about myself when I saw a kid. Also, it's no different for Hinata who's always going on about "Naruto-kun, Naruto-kun". Literally, it's more than half of her lines, it's pretty much all she ever says, it's the same kind of obsession as Sakura has for Sasuke along with a side of STALKING and nobody finds it annoying. I don't hate her, she's cute but she can get really annoying with her stalking and her "Naruto-kun". Plus, in the beginning of part 2, Sakura stopped having that obsession and more of a caring "I really wish for your happiness and well-being" love instead of Hinata's love her Naruto which is more of an "I really wish for you to notice me senpai" kind of love. </p>

<p>My dislike with Sakura comes from her wasted potential and how she was written. Kisimoto wrote her as pretty useless and shallow for much of the series when if she's supposed to be the smartest in her year she should be fairly dangerous. Instead she's the most useless out of the 12 pre-timeskip. Ino at least had intel gathering abilities. </p><p>Then this one sided crush on abusive ass Sasuke is gross. The fact they married and had a kid still disgusts me after everything he did to her and the village. I doubt there will ever be a reboot, but if there ever is I'd like whomever is writing it to make her competent. She doesn't have to be an uber genius like Sasuke or anything, but give her something that isn't the typical female healer playing back up. Also when we have Rock Lee whose far better at Taijutsu Sakura learning hulk smash punches is kinda lame. I'd have honestly preferred if she had become a medical ninja like Shizune or Kabuto just with Tsunade's healing factor. She'd have been scary then. </p>
