The Byakugan is way better recon tool than direct combat tool.

<p>Obito is not a standard MS user. Sasuke was on his knees after his MS fights, so i do see Neji winning if he can simply hold out. As pointed out before, Neji was shown fighting for hours on end with Gentle Fist and Byakugan. <p>It was never just about battles. A byakugan user can chose his battles. Just wait a few months and you can fight a blind MS user easily. Real shinobi life is more than just a sequence of 1v1 versus debates. </p>

<p>Kakashi has stated that at the level of the Rasengan, he would just be able to copy it. So A-Rank is probably the limit. </p><p>Copying is really just dependent on the capabilities of the user. If the user has the skill and chakra to perform the technique, they can copy it. So Kakashi could probably copy S-rank techniques of Lightning, A-rank of Water and Earth, and lower level techniques of Fire and Wind (he has no feats in those departments besides anime and databooks). </p>

<p>@TheKillman. You're saying that Neji will survive against what Danzo died of literal ten times? Danzo, who was known as the presently strongest in the leaf, by Kakashi himself. Neji cannit even escape Amaterasu, let alone a few sword slashes and arrows. And the fight between Danzo and Sasuke was still long enough. Plus Sasuke had fought on the same day, against Samurais, several Kages and several of their bodyguards. And came out to fight Danzo after a minor medical healing jutsu by Karin, even with his eye strain/cell strain. So, no. There are only a limited amount of people who can survive against MS users and Neji's not one of them. </p><p>Yes, he has to move his eyes. I think that was ab established fact, the Sharingans track movements by physically moving like normal eyes, but unlike the said normal eyes, they do it accurately. Take Haku vs Sasuke for example. </p><p>The jutsu was designed for blocking the said eye sight. Even the Sharingan can see Chakra through an obstacle. Yet, Kakashi couldn't see through the fog? Plus, we seen Madara clearly attacking the Allience after the resulted fog/smoke or something from his fire release jutsu and their water release jutsu. </p><p>Wasn't everyone healed/powered up constantly during the war, by medical ninjas like Sakura? Even then, We see Sasuke actively using his Sharingan almost all the time, with other jutsus. And we know Itachi with average jutsu holding the Sharingan for what I heard is for the whole day. So, high chakra cost is not a side effect of Sharingan, it's the lack of mastery with the Sharingan and the user's own chakra control. And non Uchiha like Kakashi will obviously have higher cost than normal Uchihas. </p><p>I really don't get the point of you talking about the real life of Shinobis. But yes, the Byakigan user can choose their battles. Just like anyone else. Sasuke chose his battle against Oro, after his weakest point, he chose to attack Madara after he came alive. So, yes. People can wait. But it's not exactly like a shinobi would just stand at the smae place forever. A MS user for instance, would try to cure his blindness, just like Itachi did for his. And then one can search for his close relatives eye to gain EMS. And that just becomes an even more stronger opponent for a Byakugan user. Plus, it's not necessary for a MS user to use his MS all the time. Sasuke used his MS against Killer B, Raikage, Mizukage, Gaara and Danzo. And each of them are the strongest of their respective villages. So, for intance, Sasuke won't use MS against Konohamaru. Just like he didn't against the Samurais. Plus, as you've said, the real shinobi is one who choses his battles. And for what I know, a MS user has all the rights to chose his battle. If he fears to be blind in the future, he'll just do the battle when he isnt blind, hence he choses his battle, cause not every wise decision on chosing battles depend on delaying it. </p><p>@Asian. As you've said, anyone can copy any non KG jutsu. It's just the Sharingan gives off clarity to what they see, and give photographic memory of it, thus allowing one to understand the basis of the jutsu they seen on a higher level than just seeing it with a naked eye. The seals, the chakra nature and everything related to it, then after is recorded in the Sharingan. Thus a skilled user can simply learn/perform it with ease. Since they learned the whole theory of the jutsu and how it is done pratically. Now the only thing to do, would be to skillfully copy the recorded stuff or even modify to their needs. That's the Sharingan. </p><p>So I take the Sharingan, rather than the Byakugan(which isn't that anything weak, though) </p>

It's more of forced transformation like the Rinnegen and EMS. Though, no when I think about it, one can call it a stage. But not as natural as the MS. </p>

<p>Byakugan has way better insight , Sharingan has way better foresight as in clairvoyance of attacks.Sharingan Genjutsu cannot be broken without a partner by normal shinobi. </p>

<p>Hiashi's said he saw bloodlust from his brother even though his back was turned to him. I have emphasize the fact that he saw bloodlust, even if his Byakugan didn't appear to be activated. Maybe his it's possible for Hiashi to show some Byakugan traits without his Byakugan activated, similar to how Sasuke showed some sharingan traits on his normal eye before awakening it. </p>

<p>In a pure combat sense Sharingan is better. Even the base 3-tomoe due to all the perks. Not even going to mention Mangekyo cause it has more power ups then a saiyan and it's stupid. </p><p>However, I'd take a massive field of vision any day of the week. It's all about how you use the eyes and Byakugan allowing you to see anyone sneaking up on you is pretty amazing. It really dissappointed me there wasn't a single hyuuga sniper. Give a hyuuga raiton release, a bow, and just stick them in the woods and they can just fire arrows through trees into people. Sharingan couldn't defend against something they didn't see coming. It all depends on the person, the situation, and many other factors on which is better, but it really just boils down to opinion. </p>
