<p>The first round of the finals have concluded and the semi finals have begun. The tournament from here on now is different from how it was in the movie/manga/novel, which makes for a better experience rather than sitting through the same event for a 4th time imo.

Boruto already advanced into the finals by defeating Shikadai. The next episode will who of his teammates will advance as well after the battles against Shinki and Araya, but as for now it seems certain that Shinki will move forward by defeating Mitsuuki, and while we can't know for sure the outcome of Sarada vs Araya match, I'd say her victory is more likely to happen. <p>Well, that took an unexpected turn at the end. I was expecting Chocho to become giant again like in the second round, so I wasn't too happy that she just fainted. Oh well, at least the fight was a little longer than the others, though I'd have thought that spectaters shouting ideas to the fighters would be considered cheating (I thought the same when Kankuro warned Temari about Shikamaru's strategy), not that it made much difference with Shinki vs Chocho.

</p><p>It was good to see Boruto vs Shikadai fight with a bit more action, though the conclusion to the fight was more epic in the movie, but I can see why Boruto would have only created one clone to avoid suspicion.
</p><p>I'm interested in seeing when Momoshiki makes an appearance now, I suspect during Boruto vs Shinki? At least now we get to see the other sand shinobi getting some more action, not to mention that of all the Chunin exams we've seen in the past, this is probably the furthest into the exam we've actually seen, what with Naruto's getting cancelled (and his unofficial one in the OVA against Konohamaru), the exams in the filler getting cancelled due to the attempted jinchuriki extraction on Gaara and Fuu, and Kakashi's generation which we barely saw any of.

<p>Choco vs Shinki was decent. not what was expected as flashback showed a giant Choco and all. but still decent and had good time on it too. i also liked how Choco used her strenght to throw things around which was a good edition.
</p><p>i am looking forward to more of Shinki's story... though i kind of didnt like his attitude. he seemed more like early Gaara character, cook calm and believing in his strenght minus the insanity. they didnt need to add the cockiness. completely unneeded.
</p><p>for once it was nice to change the movie ending in Boruto vs Shikadai. it also makes sense that making 1 clone instead of 100s will not be easy to be caught on as cheating.
</p><p>the Ino-SHika-Cho talk was briliant. it added more to their character. and apart from Inojin i am looking forward to their growth. they are shaping to be different than their parents. Choco and Shikadai.
</p><p>with the way Katasuke is being shown around, i think they are going to exapnd on that scenario. Manga only stated that he was under genjutsu and left it at that, but the anime seems like it is definitely going to add on it.

</p><p>Anyways. I'm kinda upset about Boruto not ending up getting disqualified. I was honestly looking forward to that. I think Shikadai should've won and not Boruto. But like comments above, Boruto's disqualification is gonna be more humiliating than in the movie lol
</p><p>I really liked the Cho-Cho vs Shinki fight. Even though I was rooting for Cho-Cho, I'm kinda happy how it turned out. Since Shinki is way stronger than Cho-Cho, it'd be unrealistic if Cho-Cho had this secret power that no one knew about, including her and somehow ended up killing Shinki.
