That might be possible, but I've always thought that process was more mystical or what not.

Oh, right enough, even referred to the nuclei in the post, my bad, I clearly wasn't paying close enough attention.

Hmm, perhaps they're like tiny tenketsu. In the way that arteries split off into veins and out into tiny webs across the body, it would stand to reason that a ninja's body does something similar to distribute chakra.

It is kind of the issue when you try to explain metaphysical stuff like chakra, cause obviously, if it comes from the body, there'd have to be some mechanical process by which it operates.

From what we're told, the network gathers energy from cells to create chakra. It doesn't actually tell us the details of how it works. However, we know that there are 8 major Gates, so there could be other "gate" structures in the body. Similarly, energy for chakra needs to be gathered somehow.

That would further explain how individuals would develop abilities by acquiring the flesh of others. The Chakra is literally drawn from their cells to develop their Bloodline Limits.

And...(Mental Breakthrough) following the ideas of the 8 Gates (That the Chakra Network is connected to bodily functions) it could be explained how Chakra interacts with the body despite the dismissively limited appearance the Chakra Network has at first glance.

Though... that would really require a new level of Chakra Control if at all correct.

Physical energy is draw from the body's cells. That image isn't showing the chakra network exactly, it's showing the path that one's physical energy is drawn from and merged with their spiritual energy (I presume the tendons in the image are the chakra coils). That's why Rasenshuriken prevents chakra from being created. The affected cells can no longer send physical energy to produce more chakra.
