<p>Considering all the feats we've seen from Naruto and sasuke. The way the writers displayed them vs jigen in this battle was not only disrespectful but blind and not considerate to their true potentials.
</p><p>Continually. Jigen/Isshiki is the Orochimaru of the boruto series. Isshiki is/was urashiki's partner (I so believe it). I think the destroyed tablet when sasuke scouted out the dimension jigen was in and saw the pillars and what not. The destroyed one was isshiki's. He probably disbanded from urashiki and went and did some funny shit to jigen (a whole lot of other things could or would have happened but this I think is one of them, pertaining to isshiki)

Also, I'm pretty sure Naruto and Sasuke don't have the raw power they used to have in the 4th War when they were each using half of Hagoromo's chakra before then spent it up. If this was the same Sasuke and Naruto from vs Kaguya I am sure they would have faired better. Also Naruto knowing Isshiki/Jigen uses Black Stakes but insisting on using Tailed Beast Mode is completely retarded, it just made it easier for him to get caught and then beat on

<p>It's not disrespectful. Sasuke and Naruto went all out and they got punished this fight. They both used their Avatars and got kicked out of them. Sasuke used his signature flames and they got absorbed.
</p><p>It doesn't help Sasuke or Naruto when you have fanboys that can't accept that they took an L this time. You can't win all the time and they just took a loss. Look on the bright side: At least neither of them died in the fight because honestly, if Jigen's body didn't reach its limit, it could be a lot worst and they both could be dead.

<p>So much for sasuke's kinetic vision and naruto's supernaturally enhanced sensing capabilities. Prince. In my opinion that battle lacked elegance, technicality and needed more wit. I'll use one example. Sasuke swaps places with Naruto (who attacks jigen with rasengan) but uses his sword instead of a lightning style sword to atleast do some harm to jigen. He could have even ran lightning style through his sword. And even if he didn't do it right away (run lightning through his sword and attack jigen with it) he could have done it as he noticed that the sword wasn't going penetrate him. Sasuke and Naruto were made to look too weak in that fight. This is not fanboyism. It's seeing the reality of a matter. Even if jigen/Isshiki was the one or were the ones who were going to prevail in that battle. They could have atleast made N and S put up a better fight. But then again ig when it touches the anime it will be made to look better.

</p><p>Still, as always, i am bummed with the idea of how the author has nerfed Naruto and Sasuke. Seriously, Naruto, the freaking Hokage, is showing less mental aptitude then his 12 year old self. Sasuke seems to have forgotten all his jutsu (especially CHidori) and only seems to focus on Rinnegan tech. it was nice to see Amaterasu for once, even though we knew it would be useless.
</p><p>and as for @prince calling it fanboyism, so be it. we can clearly see 2 main characters we journey through over 15 years nerfed so we are going to be salty.
</p><p>hell, it is not like i minded Ishiki/Jigen being powerful that Naruto and Sasuke. i would love that. it would give them a reason to grow. but they freaking didnt have to do by nerfing N and S.
</p><p>it is not like the power scaling was already out of the window after Pein arc. they could simply have just increased the power levels like Dragon Ball has done over the years.

<p>I guess people just don't like their favorite characters losing. When their favorite character wins, everything is fine and dandy. When their favorite character loses, suddenly their favorite character is nerfed and was hit with PIS. Smh. People are never truly satisfied.
</p><p>I love Naruto and he's know of my favorite characters, but I didn't feel like the fight was bad at all when Naruto got his but handed to him. I've been expecting it for a while. Sasuke is supposed to be his equal so I didn't feel bad when he got whooped too. But I'm not saying they got nerfed. They did their best but they weren't up to par. They still have another chance at least, so lets just be happy for that.

</p><p>I never really got on any debate as far as i remember where there was a discussion that Jigen could not possibly not be stronger than Naruto, at least i dont remember being, but the idea was both odd and oddly fun.
</p><p>I actually believe Ishiki/Jigen to be powerhouse greater than the Naruto and Sasuke. it showed when he broke through Susanoo and BM.
</p><p>i am against the idea of fundamentally nerfing aspects of characters to make others look strong, like the Sage Mode plot and Sasuke not using Chidori on his sword.
</p><p>Show that and still make Ishiki come out like a beast and i am all for it.
</p><p>like i said before, it builds up excitement for the future releases and what the heroes will do going forward after all.

<p>I'd argue the frustration comes more from characters not using all of the abilities available to them, rather than them losing. Naruto arguably gets it the worst out of anybody, since he hasn't displayed any of his end-game "god powers" like flight, Truth-Seeking Balls, and Yin—Yang Release since the end of the original manga. But it's not like the original series was free of this kind of stuff either, just look at all the times Obito and Madara could have saved themselves with Shinra Tensei, for example.
</p><p>Anyway, I was pretty surprised to see that Isshiki is already inside Jigen, since that earlier chapter made it seem like the mystery Ōtsutsuki was actually that mini Ten-Tails. Maybe the process of growing God Trees somehow starts out with them as a "Ten-Tails" before they actually become trees, unless Sasuke's theory of it being a juvenile was totally off-base.
