maybe he does, maybe not. I just take comfort in the fact that if they did killed him they probably won't go at it with such a term as send boruto to where he sent naruto. It happens so much in anime, using such vague terms to scare the hell outta you and then say in situation appropriate "nah, I just send him to imprisonment in my personal dimension or something, Meaning you can save him whenever you want after you defeated me heroically through a lot of plot twists and power-ups. Yay!!"
