@FixingGeoduck73 At the beginning of the fight he did. Still, that doesn't change her stats. Her speed and AP remain the same whether the opponent thinks of her as a great threat or not.

If we take Taka Sasuke and Akatsuki Orochimaru in account, I would place Sasuke above Kakuzu and Orochimaru above Kisame.

Also, it's ridiculous that some people are placing Konan so high, she got no diffed by fucking BASE jiraiya, half of the akatsuki would wipe base jiraiya. And btw, she almost had a decade of prep time and STILL lost. And don't bring up the fact that she beat Sasori; that was a fucking non-canon game AND that was an inexperienced Sasori decades years ago.

Konan was not exactly defeated by Jiraiya, the battle was inconclusive.

Taka Sasuke is arguably still not above Orochimaru based on Hebi's estimations, and if he is above Kakuzu, that would mean Jiraiya is also relatively high in the Akatsuki. Indeed, Hebi Sasuke is considered superior to Deidara, whom Kisame and Pain both consider to be a strong member of the group. Not that I disagree with the assessment overall, just that struggling with a Sannin is not too much a demerit.
