@Fanking Kakuzu’s Earth is weak to Sasuke’s Lightning. Sasuke has a wide arsenal of lighting Jutsu, chidori stream and changes of chakra form like chidori sharp blade

@A Professional Idiot mk.2 I think it's because in a way Inferno Style: Flame Control became his new most relied-on Nature Style, due to Amaterasu being so much stronger than his Lightning Style and the fact he could manipulate it, as well as having Susanoo and being able to channel Inferno Style through that.

@Tim Xman exactly, not only could Sasuke counter Kakazu's Earth Style, making his hardening techinque ineffective, he also can just nullify Kakazu's Lightning Jutsu with Chidori, like Kakashi did. Like you said, Sasuke has a way bigger arsenal of Lightning Jutsu as well that could assist him greatly. He also has a wide variety of Fire Style jutsu as well; his Dragon Fire technique was so hot that it created thunder clouds and changed the climate of the battlefield, creating a downpour and rainstorm. Not to mention his Sharingan can just copy anything Kakazu throws at him if need be. This isn't even mentioning his prowess with Genjutsu and his Curse Mark on top of all the things he can do already. To add the cherry on top, Hebi Sasuke defeated a stronger Akatsuki member than Kakazu, and yes he had Orochimaru absorbed into him, but he didn't even use any of Orochimaru powers until his fight with Itachi. Sasuke takes by himself.

Hebi Sasuke comfortably solos; I'll never understand why Kakuzu is rated so highly within this fandom in terms of powerscaling when he honestly has mid feats compared to most of the other Akatsuki members

Kakuzu survived a fight against Hashirama(I’ve heard, don’t remember where that’s said though), has to be killed 5 times before he dies, and can use all nature releases with extreme proficiency.

Plus he’s durable enough to survive a point blank Rasenshuriken, a technique described as an instant kill (by Tsunade I think? Don’t remember who said it), while heavily injured.

He’s the 5th strongest Akatsuki member, and the first one who’s REALLY strong.

We don't actually know what went down in the fight, so I don't think it's fair to use that to gauge Kakuzu's power level - especially when we don't know how strong Hashirama was at that point

Jiongu Kakuzu may be one of the more durable Akatsuki members, but in terms of his base durability, Kakuzu thought he needed Domu to tank a simple explosion tag and Hidan feared that he was injured by the attack, without being aware he activated Domu. Furthermore, I don't think you can actually scale that rasenshuriken tanking feat anywhere, despite how impressive it may seem.

Also, in terms of speed, Kakuzu is actually one of the slower Akatsuki members seeing as BOS Shikamaru reacted to a blitz attempt, while off guard, who should be narratively inferior to BOS Base Naruto

Fifth is kinda pushing it, I'd say Sasori is comfortably above him, while Deidara and Konan probably are too (I'm only saying probably in Konan's case because she's kinda hard to scale)

The only debatable thing I see in this match up is if Sasuke needs CM or not to beat him on his own. Or, who wins if Sasuke is excluded.
