Yeah honestly I feel like nobody WANTS the Boruto era Kage to be that strong, since they aren’t very interesting as characters and it doesn’t feel like they earned their strength, but they’re all just absurdly strong

"Absurdly strong" is what I wouldn't put it as. Just the 4 of them were barely able to subdue Kinshiki and they've already shown that on their own individually, they suck. They just can't keep up with the new villains like Otsutsuki.

I bet Hashirama could have a better performance because the power scaling in Naruto is inconsistent. He still has way better capabilities and feats. If Chojuro and Kurotsuchi had poor performance individually on separate arcs, it only makes sense that Hashirama can do way better.

Sasuke believed that the Four Kage were capable of defeating Base Momoshiki & Kinshiki despite them being above Kaguya according to her scroll and the novelization.

"No unique abilities" is just wrong because Gaara's whole persona is his sand techniques. Pretty unique to me. Everyone else can be seen as non-unique though.

Sasuke's beliefs are wrong. A character can say something or make a hypothesis and still be wrong. Their word is not absolute. They got slammed by Kinshiki and they had to try their hardest as a comeback and were barely able to subdue him. Momoshiki is more powerful, so if they're busy handling Kinshiki, then they're cooked when they have to deal with Momo.

They’re all pretty normal ninja, just really strong ones; Gaara’s rlly the only exception with the sand

@IKTime I would say Base Momoshiki running from Darui for 4 pages straight kind of descales Momoshiki more so than it upscales Darui. @A Professional Idiot mk.2 Same deal with Chojuro And Kurotsuchi vs Kinshiki. Kinshiki got trapped by a shadow possession but that doesn’t scale Shikamaru above Momoshiki you feel me.

How would doing something to Kinshiki affect scaling relative to Momoshiki? They aren’t even comparable in strength

Also, I’m not saying any of them individually compare to the Otsutsuki, but being relevant in the fight is more impressive than anything even Hashirama did.

Being relevant in a fight with two Otsutsuki is more impressive than being irrelevant in a fight with blind madara

Dunno if you're talking to me with the first argument, but I didn't say Kinshiki and Momoshiki are relative. The point I specifically was making is that they could be busy with Kinshiki and still have Momoshiki, who you said, is more powerful and not comparable.

Eh, I dunno. The power scaling is wack in Naruto. The Kage barely did anything in comparison to what Hashirama is capable of in terms of abilities. You did agree with me that their abilities aren't unique, but still together combined, Gaara hard carried. And what I mean with the scaling being wack, let's just take Himawari for example. She activated her Kurama state with a baby Kurama and somewhat had a relevant fight against the 10 Tailed villains. The same ones who are strong and powerful now. If we look at the arcs separately like Chojuro and Kuro, they suck. It's not a stretch to say Hashirama would be capable of better feats.

Being relevant... with Sasuke's help? Momoshiki was relative to the both of them, but that's with twice as much pressure, not individually.
