Last Post was the Raikage and he was put in Mid Kage. It was general consensus that Raikage was above Kisame but below Tsunade. Next up is the Fierce Rinnegan Wielder Pain. Write in the comments below 1. Where you think he scales & 2. Where exactly he should he placed in the tier list.

Nagato is the 7th Pain and is the strongest, if his body had not been crippled he would’ve been unstoppable and later on we see just how powerful Edo Nagato is.

When Edo Nagato was revived he almost defeated Killer Bee and KCM Naruto instantly. It took the efforts of 3+ kage level ninja, Itachi, Naruto and Bee just to defeat a version of Nagato with no mobility and not in control of his body. Nagato had massive chakra reserves, not even Obito or Sasuke could handle the power of two rinnegan. Nagato is also the only wielder of the rinnegan shown who can utilize all the abilities simultaneously. Which means a Healthy Full Power Nagato would be incredibly powerful. I would argue Nagato is Top 20 in the series. Even amongst the otsutsuki clan and into the Boruto era. Especially considering we never seen him at full potential.

Pains only goal was to capture Naruto and not to kill him. If pain had fought with the intent to kill and not held back the fight would’ve ended a lot sooner. Pain was also nerfed during the fight. And obviously, we all know Naruto had plot armor which every MC has but this is a special case were Naruto had 10 advantages.

Before Pain started his fight with Naruto, Pain had literally fought everyone in the leaf village and defeated them. The Deva Path destroyed the entire village with one Jutsu to the point it was an unrecognizable wasteland.

The Almighty Push was so Destructive, the deva path lost of a lot of chakra and had to recover which gave Naruto a huge advantage.

Naruto had intel on all Pains abilities. Which heavily assisted him. Unlike those before him that died for this intel.

Naruto also had the support from the Toad Sages and all of Mount Myobuku. Gamabunta, Gamaken and Gamahiro being the most prominent. Each of these guys being strong enough to partially fight off a tailed beast.

Naruto also got help from Hinata which may not seem like a big deal but after watching her “die” by pain. Naruto completely lost it and let the 9 tails take over his mind. Kurama fighting for him also helped him in the long run. Pain managed to fight off the 9 tails in V2 state and all the way up to the 8th tail. Pain also tanked a bijuu bomb at point blank with minimal damage. This bijuu bomb had enough potency to nuke a large portion of the village.

Pain used planetary devastation which in size scale is also another attack that could’ve totaled the village. Nagato could have even made this on an even larger scale to truly seal the 9 tails.

Naruto also got help from the 4th hokage. And his father Minato namikaze. Who repaired his seal and put him back in the fight. After using almost all of his power Pain was very weakened at this point. But still managed to fight off another use of Sage mode from Naruto.

Nagato with pretty much no chakra left decided to hear Naruto out and told him his story and related to him. Pain entrusted the future to him and sacrificed his life to revive everyone in konoha he had just killed. Konan even stated if he had enough chakra he could have survived the jutsu. Which speaks for how much life force an Uzumaki actually has.

So just how powerful was Nagato?

Using Wind Release, it's possible to create Deva Path-like attacks. It's gonna be hard to pull off, but it is very possible for a skilled Wind Release user to create a Universal Pull or Almighty Push-like attacks. Here's how:

• Universal Pull-like attacks are possible. However, you wouldn't actually be pulling your target to the area. Instead, air would be pushing them for you. First, clear out a space near your opponent. And I mean, clear it. Try turning it into a zone with lower 10% of the area's original density. If you can get a vacuum, good job. Now, the air surrounding the area that you just cleared is gonna try to fill it. If your opponent's in that surrounding area, they will get pulled there. Unless they have a good grip on something that wouldn't be pulled, they're gonna go flying. Now, the problems. First off, where would the air that you pulled out go? Simply put, right next to the area you just pulled it from. This would slightly increase the speed and intensity of the pull, but it really depends on how big your zone is. And speaking of zone size, that's our next topic. You can create an even bigger area for your opponent to be pulled to. It takes more chakra, but the pulling force is higher. At least, from my understanding. Third question I though of, can this make Chibaku Tensei happen? I don't know, I'm being serious. Fourth question, to make the zone a complete vacuum, you would need a mastery of Water Release and Earth Release as well, to get rid of the remaining water and dirt particles. Final problem, it would create an area affected by the Almighty Push-like attack, due to the displaced air going to have to go somewhere.

• Almighty Push-like attacks are possible as well. Instead of decreasing the density of the zone near your opponent, you would increase the density of the area. The high-density area would spread out, pushing the area around it. If your opponent's around the area with high-density, they'd get pushed around. Again, there are some quirks with this attack. One, you'd create an area that would be affected by the Universal Pull-like attack, due to you having to get that extra air from somewhere. Two, you can increase the effectiveness of this technique by increasing it's size.
