The anime adapted these novels almost a year after both of them released. These are the Massive Changes the anime studio did which are not canon to the manga or novels.

#1 Obito didn’t kill Izumi, I repeat Obito did not kill Izumi. Itachi that put her in tsukuyomi they lived an entire peaceful lifetime together in a genjutsu and she passed away and thanked him. Itachi figured if he can kill the girl he loved first then there was no turning back and he would proceed with everyone else. He eventually got to his family last. After he dealt with certain members of the police force.

#2 Fugaku never had the mangekyo sharingan I repeat fugaku never had the ms. It’s not canon to the manga or novels. Though we see it in the anime, even the design is in Boruto (anime) but it’s not canon. The MS was not apart of his plans in the novels

#3 Itachi didn’t kill a single innocent child or women. Not because of morality but because Obito suggested he deal with them first because kamui would be fast enough to prevent the screams. (as terrible as that sounds). Itachi only killed ninjas, the police force and his parents. While Obito dealt with ninja, police force, men, women and children. (P.S Which is probably why he has so many sharingan eyes)

#4 Shisui was poisoned by an aburame clan member named sagaru who used a mosquito that had the poison of a scorpion/spider. Which is Just an analogy of how subtle yet strong the poison was, shisui was so paralyzed he couldn’t even physically move and danzo just casually walked up to him and took his eye. Shisui shook the poison off a bit and used body flicker slightly before he could get the second eye. It wasn’t as big of an L as it seemed. Danzo and sagaru had been spying on shisui and planning this for quite some time

Think about it. Why didn't Kabuto use Edo Tensei on Fugaku during the war arc, He could have been an extremely powerful asset to the Akatsuki and to Kabuto.
