Boruto is at a point where you can miss a year's worth of episodes and go back only needing to watch like 1 or 2 because the animation in those episodes was too good to miss, not because you miss out on the plot. Boruto is the "sunday kids show you can watch to wind down", so it's not much of a shocker, but with how more and more decent the manga's getting with each chapter, you'd think they'd actually show something interesting once in a while, but nope.

That's not necessarily true for all mangaka, though. There are some that explicitly state "Oh this is a side story, it has no impact or relation to the events that are happening in the manga at the moment" and such. Kishimoto's just old. He doesn't interact with his fans because he's probably just busy with his life and his family, and is not aware of the internet culture, I would assume. Though it's also really common for the mangaka to give plot points to studios to adapt. It's usually not the whole plot, just the major events that need(-ed) to happen throughout the arc.

Naruto Shinden novels receive an anime adaptation!

I don't know what it is about filler arcs in Boruto, but they are all so... boring... The Byakuya Gang arc, the Kiri School Trip arc, now this - the arc's just dragging on and dragging on and dragging on... It's like the pace was set to a 1. Which is a damn shame 'cuz I was so interested in this arc, mainly because Iwa was left sort of underdeveloped, and we didn't spend much time with anyone from Iwa bar Oonoki. I'm assuming Kitsuchi's dead, or the writers forgot that he exists... Like, the Garaga stuff was pretty interesting, but now I see very little to no relevance to the Ryuchi Cave stuff bar the ponential missing-nin being Garaga's owner, a set up for the next arc or just a fanservicey mini arc they decided to give the viewers knowing that they might not get a second chance to introduce the place again.

It was something made up for Naruto's training and it literally never came up again, so chances are it was retconned.

Ok... Please don't pretend that it's news because shocker: It ain't. Kidomaru was able to summon a huge ass spider at the age of 14, and so was Tayuya able to summon not 1, not 2, but 3 (I repeat, 3) giant goblin thingies. Yes, this is convoluted and irritating, but it's not new.

You say it like we'll have a choice >___< Need I remind you this? That being said, I don't really mind these changes, though I do think that the actual look of the infoboxes could use a bit of refining, but maybe it's just me appreciating our more sleek and minimalistic approach a bit too much.

And they learn about his connection to Orochimaru at the end of Boruto the Movie, don't they? Different continuities are confusing.

Would be neat. But we probably would've heard something on him by now, like a refresher that he exists :D But you never know, the animation director did state that the arc's gonna be longer; He didn't specify how long, but I'm expecting 6-8 episodes at least, so he might make a cameo or two.

First thing that comes to mind upon finishing the read: Chapter's slow. Too slow. What we got was interesting. But it dragged on and on and on... And when the chapters are a month, sometimes a month and a half even, apart, it's hard to find satisfaction in slice-of-lifey moments.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The anime, at the very least, is very inconsistent with which name they use. Pretty sure it's what Snapper said: the numbers are official, but the sensei names are what they're usually called (to avoid confusion between repeating numbers i'm guessing). But that's just me spitballing. Would be cool to find a source or something.

Not really a change. I went back and checked the Boruto movie and the Boruto manga, and neither specified Wind Release. So I'm assuming that came from the novelisation of the Boruto movie. Which is very questionable to begin with.

I am also VERY confused by the move. It was basically done without any consensus, or a talk page discussion, which, seeing the importance of the name and its relevance throughout all the different series, SHOULD HAVE BEEN held. There is also an issue of continuity: We don't really abide by the ongoing timeline (eg. Sasuke's still listed as Missing-Nin despite not being one no more, and Kakashi is still listed as a Sharingan user despite not having it, etc. you get the idea). Because of that, this move is also hazardous. It's 1 am and I'm tired, so I will probably reformulate my thoughts tomorrow :D
