I don't think Boruto is even the protagonist, just think about it with this momoshiki stuff in his head and the borushiki forms. Maybe he'll become the villain in the story.
Most of the people that say Boruto is a yellow haired spoiled kid that isn't grateful for his father hasn't even caught up with the Anime and the Manga. If you want planetary level power (for god knows why), pick Tenseigan. Extremely powerful and can be more overpowered if you trained it.
Byakugan (a toned down Tenseigan) for everyday life purposes & fighting as well. I would pick Tenseigan since it has the properties of the Byakugan and is also powerful.

And the snowball effect. One famous person says they hate Boruto, more people say they hate Boruto, and then everyone hates Boruto because of small reasons and bandwagon purposes. They're focusing too much on the small bad details compared to the good big details.
Gonna be honest, boruto is good. People just don't like it because they can't simp for original characters and they can't get over the fact that Boruto is not about Naruto. Boruto is a whole complete different idea.
The moral of the story is that he gets everything from the start but loses all of it at the end.

Might sound super cliche but I think his "The Last" version was superior than all the other version of his (my opinion). He probably has learnt more and is more intelligent than his Boruto counterpart.
His wisdom from traveling the world might come useful in everyday life things.
