BeyondRed wrote: Anybody else notice Hagoromo said they sealed Kaguya and Ten-Tails in the moon? So which is it then? Did it wither away to nothing, was it sealed inside Hagoromo and separated, or was it sealed inside the moon? You can't have all three, anime.
It was stated that Kaguya was sealed away during that fight by Black Zetsu, yet Hagoromo became a Ten Tails Jinchuriki during the same fight by his own admission.
Hagoromo was stated to have split the Ten Tails' chakra into the 9 Biju and live on due to the Gedo Mazo's life force(Stated by Kurama)
This is only possible if Kaguya was sealed away and Hagoromo sealed the Ten Tails that was left behind into himself.
The being of the Ten Tails is comprised of Kaguya & the Shinju, but that doesn't mean that them being fused is a necessity.
-Kaguya can control the Shinju since it contains her will and have it transform into the Ten Tails.
-Kaguya can transform into the Ten Tails herself at will when her and the Shinju are one(This was stated by Black Zetsu and shown when Naruto's attack forced her to transform into an unstable version of the Ten Tails).
Basically the events based on whats stated and shown:
-Kaguya whom is controlling the Shinju via her will, makes it transform into the Ten Tails in order to reclaim the chakra that Hagoromo & Hamura inherited(Hagoromo was unaware of Kaguya's involvement in the Shinju transforming).
-Hagoromo & Hamura fight Kaguya and the Ten Tails. During this fight, Kaguya is sealed by Six Paths CT(Stated by Black Zetsu) while Hagoromo seals the Ten Tails inside himself(Stated by Hagoromo).
-Years down the line, Hagoromo is inspired by the way that Asura lives his life, so he breaks up the chakra of the Ten Tails inside his body into the 9 Biju, then scatters it(Stated by Hagoromo). He lives on due to the Gedo Mazo's life force(Stated by Kurama).
-Hagoromo then sends the Gedo Mazo to the moon using his own Chibaku Tensei.

Once when he powered up Naruto and Sasuke (something like "this time, I'm entrusting power to both") and once when Sasuke decided to kill the Five Kage while they were still trapped in the Infinite Tsukuyomi (something like "even if I give power to both, the result is the same"). It makes no sense for this to have been just about choosing a successor when it comes to Asura, since he very clearly gave powers to Naruto and Sasuke, and compared that to having picked only Asura in the past.
But what is the thing that has been stated over and over again that started the whole mess between the brothers? It was Hagoromo choosing Asura as a successor of Ninshu, which can be seen as giving "power", not actually giving him some of his literal power. I strongly believe what Hagoromo said has been misinterpreted. Heck, Hagoromo didn't even state that the power he gave to Naruto and Sasuke was the same as the one he gave to Asura, in that being Six Paths chakra. This may be off-topic, so we should make another thread

And his followers (initially) are a bunch of thieves and villagers? I mean, damn TV Tokyo. They didn't even try to cover that shit up >_<
As I Christian myself I think you make a very valid point. Interestingly enough I also thought of a Hindu folktale I've read (I read a lot of folktales from around the world). The story goes that there was a thief who confronted a holy man. The holy man was unfazed, and told the thief he'd give him a great treasure if he could find someone willing to die for him. The thief couldn't find anyone, and the holy man instructed him to chant "Aram" ("The World"). The thief didn't think much of this at the time but later, as he chanted out of boredom, the chant turned into the name of Rama. The legend concludes that thief obtained enlightenment and went on to write one of the epics of Hinduism. Does anyone else know the story I'm talking about?
Actually I kinda liked this ep:)
Half of the episode was spent building a damn bridge, but otherwise it was a good episode. I liked Hagaromo, and I still couldn't get enough of baby Kurama crying lol. Looking forward for the next ep.

Yeah, as a Hindu I know that story! Hindu mythology is full of such stories about self enlightenment.
The latest episode shows a similar story where a holy man(Hagoromo) does nothing damaging to the thief itself, but makes him change by his actions!
I'm glad you know what I'm talking about! It sounds like we both like Hagoromo's style.
By the way, does anyone else here know about the Sidney Poitier movie Lilies of the Field? It concerns a vagabond hired to build a chapel for a small and poor convent of nuns. He works alone at the beginning, but eventually everyone pitches in. I don't think the writers ripped it off or anything (The film really has all parties learn lessons about treating others). It's just that the part about the bridge being rebuilt made me think of that movie.
Kind of a boring episode. I know Hagoromo wanted to find a home for the Tailed Beasts and begin fixing up the world, but when half of the episode revolves around fixing a bridge and the other half is just a bunch of talking around a bonfire, it really isn't very interesting. I'm glad I didn't rush to watch it. I wasn't missing much.
