And how are we doing to know the places where filler/movie/OVA/game locations are situated on the map? Just to note, almost all of these locations were never given a proper placing when they are mentioned/shown, since they aren't a part of the canon universe. Yeah, we know that Naruto world is a whole planet and doesn't consist only from the single continent the main events take place on, but what of it? We have no info about the other territories on the planet (their location), the only proper map given is this map of that single continent. Thus, it's the only veritable source of Naruto geography.

Perhaps, but there's no way to create it without avoiding fanfiction. And it's something that is inacceptable on the wikia. Thus, the current map given in the series is the best choice possible.

To make a world map, we'd need to know the exact location of events. And since neither Anime nor manga bother to show such maps or divulge such information, we can't really create a proper world map without huge assumptions and big holes.
