Boruto (ＢＯＲＵＴＯ―ボルト―, BORUTO) is an upcoming monthly manga series written by Ukyō Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, which will be supervised by original manga creator Masashi Kishimoto. The series serves as canonical continuation of the Naruto series[1], taking place after the events of Boruto: Naruto the Movie. The manga will launch on May 9, 2016 in the 23rd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump[2], with a one-shot created by Kishimoto preceding it.[3][4] Viz Media has announced that it will simultaneously publish the series and the one-shot in English in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.[5]
