Gozu can transform his body into mud. In this form, he can move around and control mud to a high degree, even more so than the mass of his body. Before his death, he used this ability to block Kakashi's Chidori by forming into a wall of mud in front of Guren and then saved her by forming the mud into a makeshift hand and pushing her away from the battle.
