Shin'emon is obsessed with his work. Shin'emon is also a very rude individual, talking down to Naruto and Kiba during their mission. He valued his work more than others' lives but after Naruto saved his life, he saw that his life was more important than his work. He would even fight a hopeless battle to protect his work.

Prized Artefact Escort Mission[]
Shin'emon travelled to another land with Naruto Uzumaki and Kiba Inuzuka while transporting an artefact he created named, Kachō Fūgetsu. Along the way, they are attacked by bandits and the artefact is broken. However, Shin'emon reveals that he can simply create a new one, shocking Naruto and Kiba.
