Hakaku is a Cooking-nin from Land of Lightning. He went to the same cooking-nin academy as Teuchi. Many years later, he kidnapped Ayame, Teuchi's daughter, to get the "Demon" recipe, which didn't exist. Teuchi's secret was just to get rid of the bitter taste of the soup. His food made everyone who ate it keep on eating it, making them fat. Only when it came to the perfect ramen noodles made by Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, and Chōji Akimichi combined with Teuchi's new soup was Ayame rescued; the soup now helps out Hakaku and his followers.
