"Hit it or Quit it: The Final Rounds Get Complicated!" (失格？！キケン！前倒し！波乱含みの大本戦！, Shikkaku!? Kiten! Maedaoshi! Haranbukumi no Daihonsen!) is episode 63 of the original Naruto anime.

Synopsis

Genma announces that Naruto is the winner. This caused Sakura to strive to also become stronger like Naruto. Asuma, Kurenai Yūhi, and the Third Hokage were all surprised to see Naruto able to control the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's chakra on command.

After some medical-nin take Neji into a room so he can rest, Hiashi Hyūga comes in the room, despite the medical-nin insisting he doesn't. Hiashi then hands him a scroll, and Neji realizes it is in his father's handwriting. The scroll then described the events that took place during the Hyūga Affair many years ago.

It stated that Hiashi was willing to die in order to protect Konoha. The Hyūga Elder said that the Byakugan is the Hyūga Head Family's duty to protect it and that's why Branch Family exist. Hiashi then says that his brother chose death over Hiashi in order to save Neji, family, and for the sake of his village. Hiashi then bowed his head to Neji, begging for his forgiveness. Neji then asked his uncle to raise his head, and proclaimed his goal was to become stronger.

After many complaints that Sasuke was late against his match with Gaara, the Third Hokage decided to potpone the match. Kankurō then forfeits his match with Shino Aburame, allowing him to win by default. The next match is to be between Temari and Shikamaru Nara.

[[Asuma]] and [[Kurenai]] were surprised that Naruto can use the [[Nine-Tailed Fox]]'s chakra without losing himself. Aside from them, the [[Third Hokage]] was also shocked to see that he can control the Nine-Tails' chakra.

The Medical-nin says that they weren't allowed to but Hiashi insisted. The two medical ninja agree and leave. Neji struggles to get up and finally sat down on his bed. and ask Hiashi what he want. Hiashi, with his normal face, told Neji that he will tell the truth about that day. He said that he was willing to die on "that" day. Neji, angry, shouted at Hiashi. Then, he then takes a scroll from his clothes and gives it to Neji.
-Neji decides to look at the scroll again and sees his father's handwriting and signature. Realizing it's for him, Neji takes the scroll and reads it. It is written in the scroll about what really happen in that day. It stated that Hiashi was willing to die in order to protect Konoha. The Hyūga Elder said that the Byakugan is the Hyūga Head Family's duty to protect it and that's why Branch Family exist. That they will hand Hizashi's body over Hiashi's body because his Byakugan will seal after his death. Hiashi saddened in this decision. With Hizashi saying where the resolute Hiashi go and strike Hiashi. Saying please let him go. Hiashi, struggling to stand, asks why he had chosen death for the head family. [[Hizashi]] answered that he hated the head family that's why he wished to protect him. Not because he's from the head family but because he is his older brother. And he finally discover his will. And tell Hiashi to tell Neji that he died to save Neji, his siblings and family, and his village.
-Neji cried after he read the scroll. Then he saw Hiashi bowing his head, saying that is the truth and apologized. Neji tell Hiashi to raise his head. Then Neji was thinking about his destiny. And his goal to become stronger.
-Then the Third Hokage and [[Kazekage]] had some talk. [[Raidō]] whispered that [[Sasuke]] wasn't there yet. The audience starts complaining about the match. Naruto said that Sasuke will come. The Third Hokage decides to disqualify Sasuke. [[Kankurō]] said that if Sasuke won't come, it will ruin their plan. Out on the audience, [[Baki]] starts to get nervous that [[Gaara]] already killed Sasuke.
-Back at where the Hokage and Kazekage were sitting, the [[Hokage]] decides to delay Sasuke's match and they will start the next match.
-Then Raido said to Genma the Hokage's decision. After Genma announces that they will delay the Uchiha's match, Shikamaru then complaint that his match will be sooner. Genma then announces Kankurō and Shino to go down in the battle arena. Kankurō said that he will forfeit his match. And [[Shino]] won by default.
-[[Temari]] then open her fan and go down to the arena, asking if it is her turn. Then, Genma said that the next match will start. Shikamaru, thinking that he's giving up but [[Naruto]] cheer for him, accidentally pushing him and fell off down in the arena.
