        • I was wrong, fair enough. My other point still stands. This whole "no unnamed character articles" witch hunt just makes no sense. It's counter-intuitive. I'm not trying to make articles of every unnamed character, but some hold importance. We have named characters with less, and we don't have an article count issue, and we won't.           • I dunno, it'd be pretty hard to have less content than the article about Akane's Father: it's essentially three sentences saying, "he is his son's father," and another three sentences describing the picture that's in the infobox. Like, wow, valuable information that is.
            Just because an article can exist or does exist does not mean that it should; the wiki is allowed to have standards. OmegaRasengan created these three articles back in 2010, and now evidently feels that was poor judgment on his part. With age comes wisdom, after all. Granted, this request page is generally for non-controversial requests, whereas deleting unnamed characters inexplicably is. OmegaRasengan may be better-advised to tag these three articles and start discussions on their respective talk pages. ~SnapperTo 23:38, September 6, 2020 (UTC)

    • Don't think that's a blockable offence. I've added missing signatures with the unsigned template in my talk page many times. Only way I can see this being grounds for blocking is if through not signing comments, the user is trying to pass themselves as another user.       • Mixing kanji and romaji isn't the most grievous of sins, though I do think that the continued ignorance of your showing the user proper resources is a bit irksome. And I have to confess, I would feel a bit of an ass blocking her when she's the one who mostly tried making episode articles when I couldn't. still, i understand she tries her best but when she created a boruto episode, she did somehow created the similar way as the previous episodes. Like she didn't bother put a cleanup section or stub section, mixing up the kanji and romaji and not to mention checking both boruto and shippuden checkboxes. I'm not sure what the intent is with this rule: "Also, do NOT upload images specifically for use in the forums."

Is is that you do Not want folks uploading images to this site at all, or that you do not want images uploaded Only as part of forum threads with the unstated implication that an image should be uploaded to the main site and then linked to in any thread, or something else?

It's not that I have any image that 1,000+ people already have, I just want to know the intent of this is, since it is stated in more than one place.

  • I would like to request Raika be renamed to "Leica" (along with the necessary content edit to update it). While it does seem that the most common rendering of ライカ for this song is actually "Laika", the fact that the word is spelled in katakana and that it doesn't translate to anything imply that it is a word of non-Japanese origin. And as you can see here, the only plausible transliteration is the German camera brand, Leica. However, I also have my doubts as to whether that is the best translation, since it's still not a word that makes any sense in English -- yet "Leica" does make sense, and unfortunately ライカ is still the best way to transliterate "Leica".   • Two requests actually. I think jutsu like "Shadow Sword" should be renamed to "Shadow Manipulation Technique" due to the users being able to do more than create a sword out of shadow and a page I created, "Red Lightning", should be renamed to "Magenta Lightning", which is a more accurate coloring of the lightning. --OmegaRasengan (talk) 17:10, March 8, 2020 (UTC)
    • While I added magenta in descriptions myself, I think "pink" would be better, following our general avoidance of overly specific colour descriptions in articles, I should have know better when adding the descriptions. I'm not sure renaming Shadow Sword is strictly necessary. Shadow Sword very specifically had a reddish aura to it that wasn't the pink lightning, which none of the other shadow uses in the episode had, neither the clones nor the tendrils. Snapper made some edits to infobox stuff a couple hours ago to add release dates for manga chapters, edit summaries said something about having to "repopulate the concept" or something.
