- Natsu's full name may come from "Hyūganatsu" (日向夏), a citrus fruit and plant grown in Japan, whose name comes from Hyūga, the ancient name of the Miyazaki Prefecture in Kyūshu, and "natsu" (夏), which literally means "summer".
