In a jinchūriki form, Naruto unleashes a brutal series of 4 claw slashes until he rise-slashes (his upward strong attack) ending with a downward slash (midair strong attack), then in an instant releases all built up chakra in a powerful Nine-Tails Burst (his back strong attack).

Upon connecting with the initial blow, the animations are as follows: forward strong attack, neutral strong attack, backwards weak attack, forward strong attack, upward strong attack, midair strong attack, then the Nine-Tails Burst.

Trivia

  • In the first Clash of Ninja game, Kakashi is able to copy the basic taijutsu attacks of this move with his Sharingan, but he produces no chakra aura. In subsequent games, it is beyond his ability.
  • While the attack shares the exact same initial blow motion with Naruto's normal form, it features a different initial pose.
  • This is the only neutral special/jutsu that requires an initial blow to start up that has no cinematic scene, making it certain for the opponent to accidentally slip out of the attack at times (especially in tight corners).
  • As of the Wii sub series, glowing, ripping claw effects are added into the screen.
  • This technique was Naruto's ultimate technique in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes, where it was named "Nine-Tails Barrage".
