Synopsis

After it absorbed too much of Naruto's chakra, the Preta Path turns him into a frog statue. Fukasaku and Shima seek to prepare their genjutsu. The Deva Path, wary of their ploy, uses Banshō Ten'in to pull Fukasaku towards his chakra disruption blade and mortally stabs him. Naruto is visibly enraged, as Pain pulls him towards the ground and stabs him with multiple blades, immobilising him. Knowing Pain killed his master, teacher and crushing Konoha, Naruto tells Pain he has no right to preach about peace. After exchanging their thoughts about peace, vengeance and justice, Pain asks Naruto how would he stop war and bring peace, to which Naruto admits that he doesn't have the answer. Pain explains that he would create a weapon from the massive chakra of the tailed beasts, for the purpose of destroying an entire country. The aftermath of its horrific usage is intended to create periods of peace within the endless chain of hatred. Elsewhere, in his real hideout, Konan asks Nagato not to force himself since he has already used too much chakra. Meanwhile, Inoichi Yamanaka, Shikaku Nara, and some other ninja try to find the real Pain.
