Sanzui Unabara (海原サンズイ, Unabara Sanzui) is the daimyō of the Land of Water.
Personality[]
Sanzui cares deeply for his country, having spent a lot of time helping develop new power stations. He believes in making things better for the future, pointing out to his son Awaji he would inherit it all one day. He is also vengeful, as he demanded that Kirigakure severely punish the Funato clan for his son's death.
Appearance[]
Sanzui is a thin old man with a wrinkled face, short grey hair, a thin moustache, and a small goatee. He wears a black jacket with gold epaulettes on the shoulders and gold trim, pants with gold on the bottom of the legs, and shiny boots.
New Era[]
School Trip Arc[]
Main article: School Trip Arc Upon Mei Terumī learning of proof that Sanzui had been in secret negotiations with the Land of Waves, Sanzui amongst others were apprehended, leading to them confessing to their acts.
Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc[]
Main article: Great Sea Battle of Kirigakure Arc Sanzui gave a speech during the unveiling ceremony of the Shinonome 1 power station, and told the audience of how it would both increase the country's energy production and pacify their turbulent waters. Later, his son Awaji embarked the first airship that would take the audience to the Shinonome 1. He was shocked when it crashed and exploded.
After the tragic incident, Sanzui implored the Sixth Mizukage to avenge his son and eliminate the Funato. In the aftermath of the war, Sanzui demanded Kirigakure for the Funato to receive severe punishment, especially on Araumi and Ikada as their commanders.
