Shibi Aburame (油女シビ, Aburame Shibi), called "Gen Aburame" in the English Naruto Trading Card Game (Also in the official Naruto Character Profile book episodes 38- 80), is the father of Shino Aburame. During the invasion of Konoha he uses his bugs to draw the poison from his son's body. It is unknown what the gourd on his back is for, but it is assumed that it is for holding more kikaichu insects. The second databook says that he is "a self-possessed figure, the pride of Aburame," suggesting that he may be the leader of the Aburame clan.
