Shinku Yūhi (夕日真紅, Yūhi Shinku) is a jōnin from Konohagakure. He oversees the training of the village's genin and chūnin.[1]
Background[]
Shinku preventing the Konoha youth from fighting against the Nine-Tails.
During the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's Attack, Shinku was seen placing the younger shinobi inside a barrier, informing them that they were to stay out of the fight against the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, to which his daughter Kurenai voiced her discontentment. Shinku told his daughter that she was a shinobi who may or may not live a long life, and requested of her to live long enough to give him a grandchild whom the Will of Fire could be passed to.
Personality[]
Shinku is a firm believer in the Will of Fire and considers that Konohagakure's young shinobi should not engage the Nine-Tails as they were the future of the village and that future should be protected.
Appearance[]
Like his daughter, Shinku has black hair, and very distinctive ringed, red eyes. He also has a very prominent jawline and wore the standard Konoha shinobi outfit with what appeared to be slightly longer sleeves than usual, shinobi sandals, his forehead protector which he wore like a bandanna, and a flak jacket. Shinku also carries a sword strapped vertically over his right shoulder and a small cylindrical object strapped to his right lower back.
Abilities[]
Shinku is at least proficient in kenjutsu considering he carries a sword with him. His skills are further attested to by his status of an Instructor entrusted with the training of genin and chūnin-level shinobi within the village.[1]
