The Six Paths — Chibaku Tensei is a powerful fūinjutsu which combines the Yin and Yang powers of the Six Paths.

Usage

Through physical contact with the target, turning them into the gravity core for the technique. As with the parent technique, the target is encased in earth and other debris which is forcefully pulled to their body. The resulting satellite is much larger than a standard Chibaku Tensei, taking on a similar size and appearance to the Moon. The technique also seals away any dōjutsu the target has, along with the ability to control chakra. The only known method of breaking the seal is for a wielder of the Rinnegan to summon the core out of the moon.[2]

History

File:Kaguya Sealed.png

Kaguya's sons sealing her for the first time.

Hagoromo and Hamura Ōtsutsuki used it to create the moon and trap the Ten-Tails' body inside of it. Centuries later, having mastered this technique to the point he could perform it alone, the spirit of Hagoromo passed on the power for it to Naruto and Sasuke who would go on to perform the same feat, resealing Kaguya — and Black Zetsu at the last moment — inside a new moon within her own dimension.

Drawbacks

A drawback, specific to this version of Chibaku Tensei, was that it required physical contact with the target to be used and both the Yin and Yang Powers of the Six Paths are needed for the seal to work. As such, if the Yin and Yang Powers of the Six Paths are in two separate users, the technique cannot be used if one of the users die.
