Spelling[]

Why is the article spelled as “Ada” instead of “Eida” like in the English manga? Diamonddeath (talk) 20:43, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Not sure i had to say this, but i think that's how it said because like A with Ē in romaji. As for Ada, the romaji version is called Eida (use the Google Translate if necessary or not) until the Viz version decided to use Eida Kunoichi101 (talk) 20:46, 21 April 2021 (UTC)

Ada instead of Eida?[]

Why was that particular choice made? Her name is spelled Eida officially and seems to be based on 'Eida' the greek word for woman, which ties into her charm/abilities. Cygne999 (talk) 00:25, 30 October 2022 (UTC)

I see. How do we know her name is specifically meant to refer to that though, and Ada Lovelace? Saradas name comes from Salad, but officially it isn't spelt like that. エイダ is how the Japanese spell "Ada". It's possible it isn't Ada Lovelace specifically, but it is at the very least "Ada".

Official English translations using their own spelling isn't new; see "Ohnoki" and "Ay". Beyond noting those spellings, the wiki is not obligated to use them.

Looks like the anime went with 'Eida' too. And i wasn't referring to the actual word woman in Greek, but that Eidas name translates to 'virgin,woman' in Greek. Cygne999 (talk)

The Anime was not going to change how it was read in Japanese, but it does not mean it does not translate as Ada. No one is calling her brother Daimon, I presume (though I suppose the double Greek etymology may have some of its own merit). Arcadia warlic (talk) 22:43, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Konoha Affiliation[]

Even though she is ultimately only loyal to herself, the fact that she is both living in Konoha and aiding the village should probably list her as affiliated to Konoha.Steveo920 (talk) 15:53, 21 January 2023 (UTC)

possible shenanigan inconsistency[]

I thought her ability didn't work on otosuki, so how was she able to spy on the god trees because their otosuki creations. so unless they let her do that and this is further sort of proven when bug's god tree senses her. My point is she shouldn't have been able to use her Shrenigan on them? Fanking, 30 December 20223 (UTC)

For the love of Shibai, pay attention when reading and to what you write. Otsutsuki were said to be immune to the effects of Omnipotence. No such thing was ever claimed about Senrigan.
