Jutsu or Tech?

Isn’t hasty making a jutsu page? This might not even be a jutsu. It could be due to the Scientific Ninja Tool experimentation that the Inners went through. --OmegaRasengan (talk) 16:07, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Good point on the nature transformation. I got hasty from seeing Deepa's infobox. However, considering how much this ability works like Hardening Technique, Earth Spear, and so, I feel it is a good assumption that it is a technique. Its not like how it was flat-out said Delta's abilities were Scientific Ninja Tools.--Steveo920 (talk) 16:24, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

It functions almost identically with Steel Release. The big difference is that it's metal and not earth. Probably too theory-like to add, but we've done it before, like with Tsunade's Lightning and Mu's Water. Munchvtec (talk) 16:31, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Earth release is logically a component of Steel release anyway. Don't forget that Kakuzu had an identical hardening ability but could only use it on his arms. BloodOfTheArchon (talk) 18:16, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

I don't think his ability would be related to steel release at all as carbon is not a metal. his ability shows so signs of being vulnerable to lightning release and steel/earth release are typically limited to ordinary rocks or metals and not manipulating molecular bonds as he does. --Zacharyman1mil (talk) 19:00, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Debut

While it was explained and more explicitly shown in 166, did it actually debut in 166? Since this is the source of his super toughness, we'd have to look for the earliest show of either marked resistance or an extra hard hit. Or even, if this involves his gauntlet-glove, when we first saw that maybe? I think he started tanking hits when he fought Omoi's team in 163.
