Explanation[]

As you already wrote on genjutsu's definition, when someone is caught on a genjutsu, this one freezes in place because the effects of the illusion occur on the mind world created by the user. But there are some genjutsu that don't make the enemy freezes in place...I'll take "Magen: Kasegui" as an example: When Itachi used that genjutsu on Orochimaru,Orochimaru didn't look to be on "another dimension created by Itachi"..he looked to be suffering the effects of the spikes through his limbs..but he was neither frozen in place or caught on "another dimension". The same thing happens with the Bringer Of Darkness Technique used by Hashirama against Hiruzen...because Hiruzen didn't look to be caught on another dimension or frozen in place. Could you please explain me that??I'll be really greatful if you do so :D —This unsigned comment was made by 189.46.8.226 (talkcontribs) .

Orochimaru didn't look into Itachi's eyes? --86.166.27.205 (talk) 21:35, July 10, 2012 (UTC)

The page doesn't claim he did. Itachi could cast genjutsu by pointing his finger as well. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 21:57, July 10, 2012 (UTC)
Actually the page does make that claim, albeit indirectly, by saying that the technique makes use of Genjutsu: Sharingan, which itself requires direct eye contact. However, at least in chapter 345, eye contact is made between Itachi and Orochimaru. Blackstar1 (talk) 22:04, July 10, 2012 (UTC)
