Teammates[]

According to my wiki, his teammates are Kegon and someone named Hōri. Since those articles are a couple of years old, I can't they anything about the source, though. :/ • Seelentau 愛 14:48, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

i thought kegon was his teammate as well but i don't remember where i got the info. Ive never heard of hori though. could you provide images of those three? Munchvtec (talk) 14:51, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
according to this image http://i.imgur.com/YeXjS0t.png hoki is not a member but about this Hori guy? Munchvtec (talk) 14:53, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
I don't have an image for Hori either. :/ • Seelentau 愛 14:59, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
i don't think this hori guy exists sadly. ive searched for him everywhere but can't find him. could you link me to the page on your wiki or the page of hoki. id like to look into this since minor characters are my fav lel. Munchvtec (talk) 15:01, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

I checked the german wiki and there seems to be no mention of a guy named hori so it's probably fake. Munchvtec (talk) 15:07, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

It's this article. But as I said, no picture, nothing. The guys who created his article are long since gone as well and the databooks don't speak about him, either. So if his name isn't from the anime guide books or the episode credits, I have no idea where it comes from... • Seelentau 愛 15:23, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
yeah ninjashiek uploaded the images for those teams so it's not from there and it's not from data books so i don't know. Munchvtec (talk) 15:34, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

Kegon's Team[]

I'm revisiting the data I have on Chunin exams, and since Hoki passed the first test and only one Takigakure team is present in the second test, then by that merit Hoki and Kegon must be teammates. I know above the image apparently doesn't verify this, but we know that imagery in the series doesn't always match the data for these minor teams since groups like Team Oboro and Shigure despite being very visually distinct aren't apparent during the first test either.Hawkeye2701 (talk) 03:11, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

I'm of the same opinion and have been. If we are going to take liberties based off charts and such like with Explosion Release, even when parts of it contradict other parts, we should do it here as well. The people who animated the episode aren't the same ones who wrote the anime databook. Munchvtec (talk) 10:03, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
Is there any indication Hoki participated in the 2nd exam? Sarutobii2 (talk) 10:42, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
"Hoki passed the first test and only one Takigakure team is present in the second test"
This is basically all there is. So unless we want to assume for some reason he didn't participate in the second exam after passing the first, simply because someone didn't know Hoki existed when they designed Kegon's team. And to be fair, they didn't know Kegon existed either. We can't even pinpoint which one of the group is Kegon. I could've sworn we had an article for the team, but I guess not. Munchvtec (talk) 10:47, 25 October 2021 (UTC)

Well to answer Sarutobii2's question, Ibiki counts 78 passing students in test one, Anko affirms this number and reitterates it at the start of the second test, meaning everyone who ended the first test showed up for the second. While the anime does change some numbers at the beginning of the exams, those entering the second exam are consistent with the anime guide making an error in including a second Sound village team, so everything else points to Hoki and Kegon being on the same team. I even went so far as to double check the first databook which says Hoki, who looks nothing like he does in the anime, made it to the forest of death but was eliminated. I really did knacker myself for this one. XD Hawkeye2701 (talk) 18:15, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
