Sensor Type

I don't recall Kurenai being a sensor. This could be something I forgotten or didn't see. If she us, it should mentioned in her article with a reference. --Rai 水 (talk) 07:12, March 24, 2016 (UTC)

Surname

How do we know for a fact that her surname is Sarutobi again? Was it in a databook? Murali9395 (talk) 20:13, September 23, 2016 (UTC)

I read through the past archive and I don't think that Sarutobi should be listed there if she never married Asuma and/or changed her surname. It's kind of like the situation with Kushina, isn't it? Murali9395 (talk) 20:16, September 23, 2016 (UTC)

Kurenai is listed as having the Sarutobi surname in her entry in the Retsu no Sho. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:27, September 23, 2016 (UTC)

Relationship

I brought this up a while ago but the speculation has come back. Shikamaru Hiden calls Kurenai and Asuma GF/BF at the time of his death. This statement is in line with Databook 3 & 4, as she's credited as Yuhi. If she was married, she would have been called Sarutobi in those 2 databooks. While her name was changed 2 years after his death, all sources say she was Yuhi during their relationship and even after for some time. You don't have to marry someone in order change your name, look at Shin Uchiha for example. She could have changed it as a homage or even to match her daughter, but that's as accurate as saying their married. --Sarutobii2 (talk) 13:30, April 17, 2017 (UTC)

I honestly think that's an even greater assumption than simply being married... Other characters have had name changes (and clan affiliations added) when the only ones we're certain (to my knowledge at least) that got married are Naruto and Hinata- why is Kurenai and Asuma being treated as an exception? Tsunade and Dan were lovers, context clues make it clear that Kurenai and Asuma were way more than that and the only 100% canon source lists her as having taken Asuma's name. Granted you would prefer not to have husband/wife directly listed there, which is why I've changed it to "spouse" which can have a broader definition i.e. married or unmarried/common law/adopted into. If there was more to it than them getting married, I believe that would have prompted an explanation on Kishimoto's part.--Cerez365^™(talk) 13:50, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
