I think I'd have to go through the episode again. My litmus for whether this has merit or not is how genuine the mission is. On the surface, this seems no different than the several Rookie 9 team permutations during the original Naruto fillers, and those weren't very important missions either. Makes sense. I thought it was a weird addition especially comparing it to the Sasuke Recovery Mission and Kazekage Rescue Mission.

It's worth pointing out that some of those permutations do have team articles, though all of said teams exist for more than one episode. That seems not to be the case here. ~SnapperTo 22:06, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
