Similar jutsu[]
Shino used a jutsu that was exactly the same, instead that he used his insects for it. He used it when they were off to follow the sand siblings to rescue matsuri. Shouldn't that be a jutsu too? Norleon (talk) 18:42, November 13, 2012 (UTC)
- I have a vague memory of the insects being used for a code, but that happened because Shikamaru used a tincture of sorts and a brush to write a code in a tree trunk, which the insects detected, probably by smell, and swarmed to it. They memorised the pattern of what was written, went back to Shino, and showed him the pattern. I wouldn't consider it a technique like the others they use due to it being Shikamaru using the tincture. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 21:11, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
Earth Release or Wind Release?[]
In the past, when not used by Gaara, sand was shown to be manipulated via Earth and/or Wind styles. Was that the case with this jutsu in Sajin's use?--Iar Sensei (talk) 17:26, January 23, 2015 (UTC)
- I'd say Wind Release, but that's just speculation on my part.--JOA2017:32, January 23, 2015 (UTC)
- ^Same as Gaara's (Wind), but let's not speculate.--Omojuze (talk) 17:35, January 23, 2015 (UTC)
- iirc, there's another technique which manipulates sand, which is labeled as Earth Release. But as Omojuze said, I wouldn't speculate, especially since is a filler. • Seelentau 愛 議 17:44, January 23, 2015 (UTC)
- I'd say that it's Earth Release. If you look at the elemental Sand techniques, there's Wind Release: Sand Scattering Bullets used by Shukaku, but those are aerial projectiles. The other, Earth Release: Sand Dance, is a ground manipulating technique, and is also filler. Going by the one that Sand Characters has more in common with, it would seem to be the latter, at least in Sajin's case. Gaara's variant could be Magnet release for all we know.--Hawkeye2701 (talk) 17:48, January 23, 2015 (UTC)
